Yup!
You can keep the backs and do the "double shackle" using the OEM hangers and shackles, but that's not totally safe.
I think you can get additional lift by welding "spacer" blocks of steel in between the hangers and the frame...and of course adding longer shackles in the rear (rule of thumb: your incremental lift will be 1/2 the incremental length of the shackle....so with stock shackles being 3.5" eye-to-eye, a 7.5" eye-to-eye shackle would give you 2" more of lift over stock). You may need to adjust your pinion angle with shims if you use shackles to get lift - you want to ensure the driveshaft angle stays close to stock.

brr. it's that cold here, just no snow. plenty of salt on the roads, though.
it's the sleeping beast in the first pic, and that's an awesome decal in the second pic
oh, a trick i learned: lift the wipers up off the windshield so they won't freeze or stick to the glass

Suwwweeet! lol.....I can tell ya, It's nice having Oil Pressure, Tach, built in. You'll enjoy it. Any news on those mag wheels? OH, and on a good day over there, you could rent a heater at A-1 Rentals that'll run off propane and melt the hair off yer head, ...just put the Truck in a Tent and pump the heat in there...... It'll be like working in Phoenix in the Summer! hahaha. Ok, maybe turn it down till it's more like Summer in L.A.! lol..
Good find, Brian.
