edit yeah that thing ^^^^ chef beat me to it.
you still have to tap the hole though to the helicoil pattern but the helicoil will allow you to use the original bolt and thread style. They make kits that come with a tool to thread the hole as well as tells you what drill size to use.

See what they say, Brian, ... I would. They might just throw it in there for choosing them for your other work.
..... I said, "MIGHT", ...but either way, that particular job is not a big one... Easy access and straight up and down, plenty of room to work... shouldn't charge you much at all.

I had to use it a few times on my rebuild both in aluminum and in the steel. Believe it or not, I had to use them in 2 of my holes for the cam journals in the brand new head from EB because the bolts stripped before I even reached half the torque spec for the cam journals. Also had to use it in the new timing cover. I just got a cheap kit from Autozone though. POS tap comes with it, I broke two of them trying to thread through steel. The napa tap is much better IMO.

You mean I boughtededed a good kind? hahaha. Yeah, I have used it on my buddies truck for a timing cover bolt... not this kit, but one just like it. My buddy who machines, told me, "Dude, this is one of those instances where you get what you pay for..... much like OEM Distributor Rotors, etc." .... DANGIT, I forgot to call this guy about a HiLift for 50$ GRRR! LOL.

I know this is off topic and i don't mean to steal your thunder swimmer but im new to this site and trying to figure out how to use it. I just bought an 88 4rnr and need help to build/restore it. It runs like a champ but it is an 88 and its got some body issues. Right now im just trying to get it close to stock before i start to add to it....if y'all know what i mean. the biggest thing that i can't find is the weather stripping that goes around the sliding windows on the hard top. I've looked every where and was wondering if a soft top would be the next best option. also what is the difference between a thread and a forum and how do i start one? Any help would be appreciated.

I bet when you do wire them up that you find that the light bar will need to be moved forward quite a bit. As far back as you have the bar, I am guessing that the light will either be too high to ever hit the road or it will hit the top of the cab just above the windsheild and reflect back up.
