Well bilsteins are pretty pricey. I got the Gabriel max controls for maybe $45 each? Not bad. I figured out Les Schwab sells the same shocks (relabeled RMX control) for $75 a piece and they tout them as their premium light truck shock, so I took a chance on em.

Oh $45 each? That's nothing. I thought you were saying it'd be like $150 each

That's for the Gabriels. Just found a set of bilstens at shock warehouse are $300. That's starting to push your vehicle purchase price! LOL.

True, but thats not a bad price. If i use washers on the stock struts, how long can i do that for? I mean my truck is my DD and i want as little down time as possible.

i ran washers on the struts for about 2 months. if you go to topguncustoms.com they have package deals on pro comp shocks. i got all 4 of my pro comp 1000's for 89 bucks. they aint the best but for 90 bucks they were alot better than the stacked washers

That's why I wound up leaning with the OME, ....(NOT PUSHING IT, .....I STILL MIGHT have to do the Wabfab, instead, and it's seemingly one of the best of these types)...but for 900 I'd be getting New Heavy Duty Torsion Bars, Steering Stablizer, 4 New Shocks of my choice of firmness, BJ'spacers, Rear Leaf PACK(without need for altering locations thereof), E-Brake thingy, lol, and I believe a Brake Proportioning Valve relocation kit?

With an add-a-leaf kit and GOOD SHOCKS(which I KNOW should at least be decent, as I've learned the hard way) he's already up to 600 alone, ....am I wrong?

All I'm saying, Swimmer, is DON'T BE IN A RUSH to get something on that's gonna cost you 2/3rds of what you'd like to do.......and then realize later on you'd like to do a bit more, making some of what you've added useless. I'M NOT DOGGING this kit he's looking at(maybe ordered already???), nor am I saying OME or TG or anything else is the way to go. I'm just saying, 'IT'S A LOTTA CABBAGE, be sure it's what you want for YEARS, if you're trying to do this once, and not again for quite some time'. Is that so wrong? hehee.

I don't either, Swimmer, ....I was looking at "300 for all 4" above on ones could only assume you were looking at. If you can get away with getting this done for under 400, SWEEEEET! I'm happy for ya! Brudda....it's your money, ya know? lol. I'd never push you in any direction....it's just some healthy suggestion of 'THINK ABOUT IT' before you click 'BUY NOW', ....ya know?

I have the procomp ES3000 on my truck. They have held up pretty good. I got them at Top Gun Customs. I also picked up the steering stabilizer there as well. The only thing, for some reason Procomp doesn't list shocks for s 2-3" or 4" lift for the 4runners only the Pickups. But yet the 0-1" shocks that I have they are the same part numbers as the 4runners. SO they should be the same. The part numbers for the ES3000 2-3" lift shocks are 317514 front and 322506 rear. the link on their site for the pickup shocks is http://www.topguncustomz.com/Store/G...view=230008576 for the set of 4 they are $154.90 shipped. I think you have to call them though to upgrade from the ES1000 listed to the ES3000's. Now the ES1000 monotubes come with shock boots. But they are like $3 a piece if you so choose. I would not recommend using the ES9000 Nitrogen shocks though. Unless you are carrying ALOT of weight, exo cage etc etc. They would he hella stiff.

My only complaint which I have yet to really look into and confirm on my truck is that the 0-1" ones on my truck seem like they might be a tad bit short and affect my droop. But I got flat leafs etc etc, so I cannot really confirm that.
