25' of 9 conductor 18ga wire, one run to the front and rear is enough for everything.

I also put a protective plastic wrap on the parts that will be exposed under the truck.

I still need to wire up the locker end, but it is coming along.

Next step is to fab up a front drive shaft.

 

Nice Rig, i see you've got your hands full with that one...haha im in the same boat with my 85. i see you took it out to gorman before the morp as did i, boy was that just a teaser. GL mayb c ya out there sometime.

 

I havent done much work on the truck in the last month or so, been way to busy with work.

I did manage to get somewhat of a front driveshaft going, but it needs some work, and i'm in the processing or changing the timing belt and water pump at the moment.

I have a couple friends that are going to be heading up to gorman in the next month or so for a shake down run if you want to join.

Major updates:
-SAS finished but pinion angle was not happy so i pulled the front axle apart yet again to rotate the axle, now all is well
-Replaced rear axle with a 02' tacoma rear axle with e-locker.
-Finished up all the wiring

Well I haven't been on here in a while figure it is time to update this thing.

The truck is just about done. Current specs as it sits

- freshly rebuilt 3.0L w/ downey headers and custom exhaust
- Front and rear e-lockers installed
- Clocked Front Axle
- Dual Cases (2.28/4.7)
- Custom drive shafts
- Roll Cage
- 37x14x17 Iroks on Pro Comp Steel Crawler Wheel
- Bobbed bed 12"

Today I finished up all the mounting of stuff in the bed, tools box, cooler, and spare tire.

Stuff to finish up
- Install Longfield axles in front
- Install 6 shooter knuckles
- Install Tunion Bearing Eliminators
- Install Speed sensor
- Figure out small T-Case leak
- Wheel the heck out of it!

No kidding! That switch panel is legit!

 

The bedliner inside the cab was installed with a couple cheap 4" paint brushes from Lowes.

I have found a new product that I like a little better than the herculiner, it is made by duplicolor and it called bed armor. This stuff goes on much thicker. Thanks guys, I could not find a solution that I was happy for a price that fit the budget so building it was the only option. I hate having 5 or 6 switches mounted all over the dash where they can be bumped randomly or forgotten about. This way everything is in one nice spot.

One issue I have run into was the lockers could be activated at any time (freeway at 65mph would not be good) it would be a reach to hit the switches but it could happen I guess. To get around this I have been pulling the fuses for the lockers when I am going to be driving around. I decided to make one of the
extra switches I had as a main power swtich for both lockers. This way the power switch would have to be activated before either of the lockers could be activated.

If you guys have any more questions let me know, I have taken a ton of pictures a long the way I just need to upload them in this thread.

 

To tell you the truth I have not measures the wheel base, I pushed the front axle forward about 2" when I did the SAS, and the rear axle has not moved (yet, I am planning on linking the rear one of these days. I will measure it tomorrow.
