Im actually probably not too far from you. I live in Charlotte, bordering Matthews. So about 20mins up the road from Monroe. Just noticed you had a 3.4 swapped Xcab. Thats awesome. I want to swap to a 3.4 in the runner someday but itll be awhile from now before that happens.

Well initial plans was to order my long travel kit this week, but hell everything is going on the back burner again. Driving up to Bessemer City to pickup a motorcycle I want on Thursday since I couldnt stand to pass the deal up. Anyways I did manage to pull the runner out of the garage and snap a few new photos without the bodylift.

yea lovin my truck with enough power to actually move...lol
that was one of two things i didn't like about my truck the other being the ride/ lack of suspension.
just got a T100 rear axle for my long travel plans.
you a dirtbiker too?
i have an 08 yz450 and a few other street and dirtbikes and a (old school) 550 mod jet ski.

I will probably go with the blazeland DIY kit. I know its not the best kit out there, but I I like to say I built it plus being a college student I am on a budget. I figured $250 for a kit, plus adjustor sleeves and some new poly bushings I should be good to go. I already have another set of arms and axles to hack up in the garage. I may start robbing parts soon and organizing it so I can prep it.

Good choice on the blazeland kit. I am on a budget too, and was going to do a BJ spacer, but for the price, the blazeland kit is the way to go. Thinking I may just save up for it. In all honesty I think blazeland is the best kit out there. It has proven itself, and I have seen a total chaos kit busted up before on this site. Again it is about how you use it and if it is setup properly, but the stock control arms are beefy.

Very cool man. I'd like to check out your truck sometime once ya get the long travel. Sounds exactly like what I want to do to the runner here. Im not much of a dirt biker (unless you count hardcore mountain bikes), I used to own/ride a Suzuki DR and had ridden many atvs etc. But have since sold it. I'm actually picking up an old yamaha Thursday with plans to build a custom bobber. Just love the old school bobbers and cafe racer look.
gotta rebuild the back shock.
i think the blazeland is a good kit especially on a budget.
the mega travel kit looks like it has potential.
i'd like to spend the coin and get a chaos kit.

Well I recently picked up a new Kayak and had no way of transporting it with my 4runner due to the soft top. So I came up with a new rack for it. Thought Id share what it looks like. Ive already loaded the thing with a lot of weight 520lbs to be exact on the rack and it seemed stable. I only plan on having my kayak ~60 lbs on it plus maybe a cooler for camping. I think the rack is plenty strong. I can still roll up the sides of my soft top and it seems to fit pretty awesome. Not too bad for about 2 days worth of welding and painting. I also have 2 more LED lights coming for the front center section. I only bought 2 at first to test out and I liked it so I ordered 2 more. I'll have 4 total on the front.

I used some 3/4ths tubing I had laying around from a previous roof rack project for a friend for the rear uprights and cross bars. The front portion of the rack is made with conduit from home depot since it wasnt structural and I just wanted something to put lights on. I also cut a few pieces of chain in half to use for tie down mounts.
