Sam's 89 IFS rig
So I am officially a full convert now haha. Just picked up my new ride about an hour ago. The pickup on the right of the 4runner is mines also as is the jeep which will be sold soon. The 4runner is a tad on the tall side, gonna remove the bodylift probably. Also going to remove the ugly wuro lights and put the factory tails back in it. Anyhow heres some pics.

Body lift is a 3inch bodylift. Way taller than Id like it to be. It's sitting at 7 inches of lift. I wanna lower it down to about 4-5. Also the truck is equipped with front and rear ARB lockers and 5.29 gears.

Thanks, I definitely want to remove the bodylift sometime, but it probably wont happen until next summer since I am currently driving it daily. I'd love to take it offroad especially with the lockers and gears in it. I think it should do better than my pickup honestly. But the interior and body panels are just too nice. I will probably just turn my pickup into a dedicated rig now.
I ordered some factory tail lights for the truck today, and a new keyless/alarm system. Going to try and hook it up this weekend. I plan on running down to the steel place and getting some metal as soon as I have a new bumper designed up on CAD.

Well with school starting back up and working part time, I finally found a bit of time to get some work done on the yota. I couldnt see out the back of the 4runner because of the tire carrier so I decided to mount my backup camera that I bought from amazon. A total of 30 bucks and it works wonders. I also mounted my CB radio and antennae and printed off new decals to replace the ones that I peeled off since no one could see them. Also did a couple TRD bedside decals.

Wheels are Dick Cepek DCs. It came on the truck when I bought it, not a huge fan of them. Looking to get some MT Classic locks to replace them, but funds are tight.

Got my new 10k winch installed on the pickup today. Install went fairly easy. Had to trim the grill a bit to get the winch to fit, and decided to do a side mount solenoid box until I can relocate it to the engine bay. Very happy with the purchase overall. Cant beat it for $150. Hooked the cable to a tree and respooled the winch today for a test and although slow works awesome. Also recently repainted my DCs on the 4runner. I like the black wheels much better than the polished alum. And lastly a messing around picture for good measure. Drove my truck up on the 4runner's tire and tried to snag a pic. Found out the e-brake needs some adjusting haha as it started to slip.

Well I finally started working on the 4runner for once. My goals for this thing is to do a long travel setup in the near future. Anyhow I initilaly bought the 4runner with a bracket lift and a 3inch bodylift. Today I decided the bodylift was too much and just sucked. So guess what? I went removing it. So here's some pics of the progress.
First pulled the truck into the garage (this part was interesting, I had to fold down the soft top, and airdown the tires to get it to fit.

Hacked the sliders off the chassis with my sawzall

Removed my rear bumper and tire carrier:

And now. NO MORE BODYLIFT YAY:guitar2:
