Stereo is now installed along with the new Clifford Alarm. Al and Eds in Marina del ray did the install and I have to say that I am beyond please!

The installer had to take the whole dash out. He was tracing out the wire mess and found a bad wire. After removing the dash the power wire to the parking lights was FRIED! in addition to that we found about 5 other wires that had to be replaced. All baked and melted.

Components going in:

I wish I had a before photo of the wire harness going into the head unit. But there was a HUGE mess, and TWO wireharnesses going into that area. The installer pulled everything out and started over.
Clean harness now:

All installed:

Sounds great, hands free for my phone, XM, and ipod. Stoked!~~

WOOOOOOOOOOT! Looks really nice, Rob,....I'm Impressed....especially with the wiring organization and rewire! Love the speaker set up on your doors, too... NICE JOB!
Hope you enjoy it!
PS> I got the Grill/bumper guard and mega-travel bj's.... last set on those, but the guards, yep, he has a couple more, and then I think that's it. I gotta say, IT'S WAY beefier than I'd thought! Not sure if it's going to go in that easily though.... probably gonna get your ideas on that! hahaha.

Suspension!
Started on the suspension finally...
I had a full set spair set of suspension from a 1993 V6 4runner that I took apart and used to build my new set up.
Hubs Before:

After a good cleaning and paint:

All put together. Everything is new, bearings, seals, EVERYTHING!

New Asin Locking hubs (they are set of for the pic)

Brand new V6 calipers:

Everything almost there and the new upper arms:

No more Ball joints:

Cleaned and painted cross shafts:

Upper arms assembled:

Thats all for now. I am waiting on my new lower Uniball conversions to be made then I can put everything on the 4runner. I am also taking it into Calmini so that they can get my timing finally sorted, re-gear the front and rear, as well as rebuild the rear axle. Should have it started by Thursday and done in about two days. I know it could be faster but I like to take my time and make everything nice and clean. Plan on cleaning the front frame a lot and painting everything fresh. STOKED!
Oh here are a few pics of the race truck

Modified stock upper and lower control arms (12 inches of travel STOCK WIDTH)

More to come!!

Thanks Chef!
Just waiting on the bottom LCA uniball conversions to be finished by Solo Motorsports in Azusa. As soon as I have thoes then I get to do the fun stuff and put everything on.
STOKED!
Then the truck is going to Calmini to have the LC adjustable cam gear installed and the timing finally set right. After that they are going to rebuild my rear axle, new bearings and seals as well as 5.29's front and rear! Stoked!!
