replacing shocks

Can anyone tell me if this is correct?-looking at the current rear shocks, one is slanted toward the back of the truck, the other is slanted toward the front, like forward and back slashes. It’s an 86. 4Runner,and I’m going to try to replace them. Thanks!

That's the way the shocks on my 87's are oriented, and they're both pretty much factory.

Good luck! The nuts can rust tight pretty easy. I put anti-seize on mine when I changed them a ways back. I hope it pays off the next shock change needs to be done...
