^^^ nice, and then he turned into the gas station so he could go another block...hehe

As irritating as this can be at times, chasing gremlins, electrical components and testing/modifying are my weak points when it comes to automotive work. With that said, i always look at it as improving and sharpening my skill set.....

Confucius:'what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger (or really piss you off!)'
pretty sure that was the saying in my 'Buddhist guide to being Buddhist' handbook.

I hear ya on the skill set!

One thing though...whenever I see Buddha, I always, for some weird reason, think of (trivia for the day)>>> "What I wanna know is, .... how does a guy who weighs 600 pounds have the balls to try to teach people about self discipline?!?!?!?" ....hahaha. Name that flick! lol

Picked up the new TPS at lunch, will give it a shot tonight.

Went to get my rear drive shaft lengthened, and was talked into getting a new shaft for the same price...talk about getting the shaft...hahaha, thank-u very much.

Anyhow, the idea is that they could make me a new custom shaft for the same price, this means new u-joints instead of my 230k i currently have. i also inquired about balancing the existing shaft, and the very well educated gentlemen informed me that the shaft was stretched too far, and no amount of balancing would solve that issue.
Because i used an R150 trans mated to a RF1A t-case thru an Inchworm adapter, finding a drive shaft that would fit was proving difficult because i am about 1.75" different. Not to mention i do not want a wobbly drive-shaft shaking my 3rd and t-case bearing to bits.

Last night i pulled the t-case off to see why it will not shift out of 2H. Pull the case, and stick a flat-head in the shift fork, only to easily slide the forks back and forth...., i can only guess it was bound by misalignment....IDK. She goes back in tonight.

Now onto my codes...
Last night while sitting in the driveway, i could only get code 42. Does anyone think the TPS could through this code? I thought i read that 41 & 42 are linked to the TPS.
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Well new TPS cleared all codes... Sorta

Swap in my old stock afm and solved my running rich issue. I tried adjusting it every which way and no difference in running so I figured I'd try the old one which fixed the rest of my codes.
Then I took her for a spin, no rear driveshaft, and she feels even better. However, after a run she gave me a code 51. That may be my afm because I had to tinker with the contacts a while ago and I guess the arm is shaking a bit. I'll have to get another and try that since the TPS is new and wiring is as well.

I am running without the ect or any other auto devices plugged in.

Next I tackle the cruise control, and I think my problem there is just the clutch switch, since the speed controller is looking for a signal from the deleted ect.

Thanks twisted.
They just got ground, and sanded, then finally painted late last night, but they still need a second coat of POR-15.

In other News, my son built us an awning for the beach:

Stowed (need to make it look like a big gun):

That awning looks cool, just need a shovel and a hi-lift on the other side.

Shovel I'll have, hi-lift, not yet.

That was the first setup of the awning, need to shorten the legs a bit, setup isn't exactly speedy, but having a good amount of shade will be nice.

Definitly pics on the beach.

My son wants to paint the awning container like a Howitzer, anti-traffic deterant.
