Building an 89 toyota ext cab truck.

Plans for the build are.

37s
dana 60front/yota rear
112-115" wheelbase.
4.7 dual tcase
leaf front
coil rear
Dove nose
Backhalf
Things and such of whatnot.

Anyway Filler pics, only got 4hrs on it so far. Got bed off, doors off, front/rear bumpers off, and tube doors half way done.

 

Is that a platinum edition super duty in the first pic?? I would love to get my hands on one of those someday. Anyway, looks like ur off to a good start but why Dana 60 front and Yota rear?

 

Idk about the truck its my friends he brought the truck to me with.

Room for expansion. A yota front axle capable of holding up to 37s is gonna cost me 1000 bucks anyway, might as well have an axle up there that can run 37s and up instead of 37s and down. Plus its easier for your rear axle to follow your front if its narrower anyway. I may just end up putting a d60 back there as well, theyre cheap enough. Beginning build plans are more of guidelines then anything else.

 

This build is kind of flip flopping around. The plan has changed 4 times, then there was a budget issue... of none. Then now we have the budget to start moving forward, but no time. Then today I noticed this. Apparently this is the 5th, 5th generation toyota xtra cab ever made. So we may be just selling it as a collectors piece.

 

Collectors piece? are you kidding? Being 5 doesnt mean jack on a Toyota truck made in the millions. Not even a nickel. Note the 5 reference with nickel. I did that.

 

X2 Yotas are a dime a dozen in keeping with HighLux's coin phrasing. Number 1 would be kind of cool, but only if it's 100% mint, which I'm sure it isn't.
