I do have the finish coat on all the doors, right now im trying to decide what to do to the hinges. Thinkn about putting a good coat of rustoleum flat black on em. all the trim on the rig is gonna be black so it should blend nicely! And as a side note, Holy frikn crap!! It takes a lot longer to put back together! Than it did to take it apart.

What'd you use to clean the interior metal?

Just soap and water. It was in pretty good shape to start with. Still had the original carpet down and no one had ever messed with it! Got lucky for a change!

Mine is almost in the same condition except for some areas of very dried/packed and almost welded on mud that crept in after the fenders were trimmed.

I'm hoping after Wabbit and I get the fenders tubbed, I can go in and hose that crap off and have a clean surface to start with.

Your rig is looking great, still looking forward to some more pics.

Since you've got the interior all pulled apart, why not lay down some Dynamat or some Second Skin to help keep the noise levels down?

Rob's got a point, the only reason I'm not going that route is I want to eventually bed line interior so obviously I wouldn't be able to do that.

One thing I have looked into is aftermarket molded carpet/vinyl options.
A little bit pricey but for a complete OEM matched floor set, not too bad.

Thought I'd pass it one in case you hadn't seen it yet, I may go this route with some Dynamat/Peel-n-Seal instead of just bed liner.

Just a thought,

Fink

Good Idea!

I traided axledeep a set of wheels for his interior and i ended up with enough of the factory sound dampening material to cover everything again. Probley not as good as what your suggesting, but lots cheaper! Thanks for the idea though, I will take all you have! If the noise is untolerable, may back up and do that.

Just use multiple [IMG]**filename/URL**[/IMG] tags in a single post.
I'm assuming you are hosting your pics somewhere like Photobucket, imageshack, etc...?

There were some guys over on www.diymobileaudio.com experimenting with things like elastomeric roof coatings with good results. Cheaper and works fairly well. I'm looking at it for damping the rear quarter panels.

And 4x4fink, Ive just used the drag and drop method from photobucket. Gonna take me awhile to process that info! Thank you, I see what I can do.

When you're in Photobucket looking at the pictures in an album look right below the thumbnail of the pic and there should a box that says, "IMG code" next to it.
Copy and paste whatever is in the white box next to "IMG code" into a thread.

It already has the forum code (HTML) attached to it.

You can copy and paste as many of those "IMG code's" as you want into one post and they will all show up.

I can get a screenshot of what I'm talking about if that'd be easier.

It's a whole new rig dude!

Can I make a suggestion or two?
That thing would look badass if with the front grille trim and bumper painted black, as well as some classic 2nd gen rims painted black also.

I'd also get some cheap white LED lights for the reverse lights, that'd look so sweet dude.

You can tell how much time and work you put into that thing man, inspiring to see what good work can do for a rig.

Didn't know you could get led reverse lights, I will definataly look for some. And thanks Fink! Its nice to hear some positive words dude !! On the rims, are you talkn about the aluminum or steelies?
