question to u profesional painters
Does wet sanding promote adhesion of the top coat, or is it simply for astetice purposes? Would like to know before I wet sand all these door jams!

I am using PPG primer and paint. I can get the numbers off the can if U need em.
The reason for the sas, would be the cool factor!
Ive wanted to do one for about 5 years now, but never had the money. The ifs one the pictured 4runner is worn out, and needs replacing. I would rather put that money toward an sas that rebuild the stock ifs.
And the biggest reason, I want to get into rock crawling! An sas looks like the best setup to have. Not on the competition level, but something I can do with the fiance and daughter.

Thank you :>
Thanks again Fink! Had several ideas for a paint booth. The one you see was the cheapest. It has hvac filters in one end and a 20 inch box fan in the other. Wouldnt think a box fan would pull enough to keep the overspray out, but it does a pretty good job!
Now i have to get started sanding all that other stuff. Hood, doors, fenders, good lord! Will it ever be finished!
Didnt know what to do about the painted fasteners, came up with a fix. Will post the outcome, good or bad!

You do good work so I'm sure you'd do it right.
I say go for it - especially with all the time you've spent on the paint, hate to see it get ruined by a few measly little rocks.
