Well here it is...

86 extra cab. Full rancho lift (ifs bracket, torsion and traction bars) Rebuilt 22r, stage 2 clutch and flywheel, yukon 5.29s, hedman header. Minty interior, carpet, nice buckets and a console. 146k original miles.


Start with my most recent project....

Was tired of having all this stuff laying in the back of the cab, I didnt want it stolen in the bed, and dont want a tool box taking up bed space.

Here is my solution. Should have it all bed lined this weekend. Probably squirt the shovel, ax, and jack with fresh red paint.

Has bolt lock style latches on the inside. Hinged and has chains (like the old truck) to hold it flat when you lower it like a factory tailgate. Also eliminated my nasty tailgate rattle.










This weekend starts tube armor (lower rocker/rear bumper, sliders, and front bumper...Dont know how far I will get..but we will see.

I daily drive this rig, but also wheel it regularly (trails, mud, some rock).
Most recently got a full jump out of it which was exhilarating.

Havent updated in a bit.
Finished tailgate...
Got 12k Winch on receiver plate, receiver welded to front of frame. Front stinger/bumper almost done. Rear bumper about there. Rock sliders next. Then probably build steel fender flares to tie in from bumpers to rock sliders.






Hoping to get the teal stripes painted over in white and a snow camo paint job this weekend but am getting a tatto saturday so it may delay the paint job till next weekend. All tubing/armor gets bed lined.

 

Front bumper is finished for now (sure I will add stuff to it at some point).
