Hey Everyone!

I took the truck wheeling the other day and I ran over a nail while I was out there.

I am planning on getting some 32x11.5 falken wild peak a/t's.

I also plan on getting some pro comp alloy steelies 15x8-19 offset to go with those new tires since the clear coat on my oem wheels is ripping off as I type.

I'll post up pictures as soon as I get them!

On a side note. Ever since I did my head gasket, my motor has been leaking a good amount of oil coming from the tranny housing. If anyone has any idea where its coming from, please don't be afraid to let me know!

Thanks yotatech!

Did you try the idle adjustment screw on the throttle body? Sometimes they loosen up.

I don't. It looks like its leaking from the cylinder head area. I may have to take it all apart again.

It's better to do it now, before it gets worse. Plus maybe its just a little thing that is loose or missed in some way, and it might be an easy fix. Either way, good luck.

thanks! I actually talked to my cousin about it. He was the one who helped me take it apart. He said its the valve covers.

When we were putting the covers back on, the gasket didn't sit in the cover right/ it didn't seal. We thought bolting it down would seal it, but probably not. He thinks it needs new valve covers, because the gasket was still new.

Anyone know where we can get new valve covers?

EBay? They aren't too expensive anyways.

Make sure when you seal up your valve covers that you put some rtv in all the corners to help the seal. (Especially in the back)

thanks for all the help fellas!

I haven't done the valve covers yet, I did seal up one of the holes in the back of the cylinder head, cause I found out one of them was leaking, it stopped the leak a little bit, but it still drips a small puddle of oil everytime I drive it.

But on to some good news, my falken 32x11.5x15 tires are in, i'll be installing them on tuesday with my pro comp alloys! I'll probably post up a pic on tuesday night!

I also took the running boards off today, and man it makes such a big difference appearance wise. The truck looks a lot tougher with out them on!

Here's a pic!

I'll update it more on tuesday night!

Yeah, that looks way better and more functional!

I've been thinking about those tires myself, so I'll be looking forward to hearing what you think.

So today was the day that I got my new rims and tires and boy oh boy was I excited waking up this morning.

I called 4 wheel parts shortly after I woke up to make sure the rims were in, and sure enough they were there.

Shortly after that I went to my tire shop were they had my falken wild peaks in 32x11.5x15 ready for me!

The truck looked great! but I soon realized that I was rubbing on my front driver tire when ever I turned left. So when I got home I took out the gold old hammer and hammered the pinch weld flat and like magic the rubbing stopped.

It was really strange on how it only rubbed on the driver side front, so I did some measuring and realized that the driver side front is about a half inch lower than the passenger side front. I have no idea why it was like that, but it could be because the car was in a small fender bender from the previous owner.

Now on to some pictures. I didn't take that many because I was in a rush to class, but i'll probably take more tomorrow.

I also plan on doing a little bit of wheeling tomorrow night to test out the new tires!

I plan to get an alignment within the next week or so!

And hopefully within the next couple of months I plan on getting some new shocks (currently looking at ranchos) and a BJ spacer for the front and a coil spacer in the rear from 4crawler. I am only looking for about a 2in lift because I feel like the truck is high enough already.

Well thanks again yotatech and i'll update soon!

Awesome! It looks great.

You should measure from the top of the rim to the bottom of the fender on both sides in the front. It's pretty likely your torsion bars aren't adjusted evenly. Mine weren't when I bought my 4runner.

Oh thats a good idea! I didn't think about that! Do you happen to know how to adjust them, and how to know which height is stock? I am almost sure the height is uneven because the steering wheel is tilted a little to the left while driving straight!

Thanks, yeah i'm especially glad its running great again! I'm just checking the oil religiously because of my small oil leak, but other than that, it runs great!

I'll update everyone tomorrow, to let you all know how the truck does with the new tires!

Make sure you spray them with pb blaster every day for a couple days before you do it.

Hey everyone!

I didn't get to update it last week because I went out to vegas this past weekend.

I'm back now so i'll give a quick update on how my session went last wednesday.

I loved how the falkens gripped the dirt! My buddy had goodyear wrangler all terrains and he was slipping a little bit, going up a couple of hills. I on the other hand had zero slippage. My truck gripped really well, especially since so cal just got done pooring that previous weekend!

I do hear they aren't that good in mud/snow and I have yet to try any of those terrains.

All in all I am really happy with the decision that I made and I would recommend them to anyone, especially for people who do some trail driving!

It was really dark out there so the picture I took was just of my truck and a little bit of my friends jeep!

My 93 4runner build thread!-ebma7hk.jpg

I am now working on getting my lift!

What kind of shocks do you guys recommend for a bj spacer/coil spacer from 4 crawler. It is about a 2inch lift and I only see shocks that are recommended for a 1inch lift or 3 inch lifts!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
