See, now you're lucky. My Air Compressor died right before I installed my lift. I had to use an 4" angle grinder. Talk about a pita. Not to mention I had the upper control arm lifted by a jack handle wedged between the control arm and a floor jack. It was MAJOR sketchy. When you do it, relax the torsion bars first. A lesson I almost learned the hard way. If the jack handle had slipped, my hand would've been crushed. If I had relaxed the bars, the arm would've been able to move much easier. Also, when you're done, get an alignment. Seriously, it's WAY out of whack.

Oh yea, you can tell the alignments out. I'm takin it down first thing tomorrow mornin before work. I didn't relax the tortion at all just jacked it up, poped it apart, trimed the control arms and put her back together with the spacers (I did run into small problems like rusted ball joint studs) but that can be expected. The only thing I did that was extra was I just undid the 6 nuts that hold the CV's in on each side, it was easy and then I didn't run the risk of hyper extending the CV. I will have some pics up tonight after i grab somethin to eat. I didn't take any pics of the instal as it's been done already in the link I mentioned above.

Oh yea, I know how that goes. The LED swap is definitely one of my favorite mods lol I now look forward to driving at night just so I can see 'em. Any way as promised here are pictures of what I got done today. Again this was Procomp AAl's in the rear and BJ spacers w/the differential drop kit sold by WABFAB.

Before I pulled it into the shop:

Here I had finished the drivers side and was about done with the passenger side:

And here she is all done:

I'll get a good shot of it outside tomorrow during the day. As mentioned in a previous post i didn't take many pics during just because other people have already done so and I didn't see the need for another write up.

Oh and almost forgot this one:

Stickers add horse power ya know?

search around some, but basically it's just that: it moves the front differential down a few inches. if you put ball joint spacers on, the cv joints are under a bit more strain from increased angles. by lowering the differential, it eases the cv joints back to stock angles

Yea what Ian said lol. All it is is a couple round 1 inch thick pieces of aluminum with longer bolts that go between the mount on the front dif and the frame. It drops the dif so the CV's aren't at such an extreme angle. On a side note, we picked up an '87 4runner SR5 automatic today for my buddy for $1200. He had had an '87 before and went on a jeep kick. I brought him back over from the dark side lol. Also forgot to add I removed my sway bar at the same time (mostly because it was goin to be at a bit of an angle) I was goin to make some spacers to go between it and the frame but on road I don't notice any difference, in fact on my way to get it aligned I forgot I was supposed to be payin attention to how it handled til I was almost there so it wasn't noticable. I'll see how it does off road next.

Alex did ya get your AAL's in yet?

Oh alright. I was impressed with how well they worked, my rear leafs were sagging and they brought em up enough to were the rear is even with my front after the BJ spacers.

Looks good with the lift on there, I just ordered some LED lights for my cluster from the same site, I couldn't think of what color I wanted so I just got the boring blue that everyone does.

Definitely been a while since I've been on here, so here's an update. I have been busy with work and somewhat short on funds for the toy but here's the latest.

Not sure if I ever flaunted this at ya'l even though it's been on the truck for about 8 months now:

Bent one of the steelies, so were rockin' the factory alloys for now:

Picked these up about a week ago at the wrecking yard, $40.00 bucks for both SR5 buckets out of an '89 extra cab. Both are in fantastic shape, just missing head rests so I'm using the ones off my 60/40 bench for now (sorry didn't wanna wrestle those seat covers back off):

Believe it or not, picked up another set of SR5 buckets out off a '93 for $40.00 from another wrecking yard a couple days later (same great shape, just no head rests). Traded those to my dad for this guy:

Finally got my "low pro" toolbox, just need someone to buy my old one now:

And for those of you upset by my ditching the winch bumper, I fabbed some half way descent turn signal mounts and it's back:

That's it for now, hopefully get something figured out for a center console soon and start workin' on her more again. As always any feedback is appreciated.

So, update. Got a new bed for Christmas (actually got it installed on Christmas day but haven't got a chance to post) here it is with stripes still on:

After removing the stripes and the V6 logo:

About to swap beds:

I'll get a picture of it on the truck tomorrow

Also picked up front and rear differentials with factory 4:56's for $85.00 a pop:

And proof they're 4:56's:

G254 (G= 8 inch ring gear, 25= 4:56's and 4= 4 pinion rear carrier) Also counted, 41 teeth on the ring gear and 9 on the pinion meaning, 4:56's!

^^ Cell phone pics, didn't realize they looked so bad. I'll try to get better ones tomorrow.

Haven't posted on here in a while, here's whats been happening

had a funky bracket that came with my lift :

So starting with this:

I made this:

I cleaned and went through my new difs:

Also notice that the front is now manual, not auto 4

All the parts for the lift in my truck (notice the new bed liner as well)

And last but not least, I scored some like new wheels of CL for $250.00 and got my new tires:

The last picture of her on 31's:

Rear end done (took me an evening):

And on to the front

And sittin in the drive just needing an alignment:

In the end, I pulled her into the shop Wednesday evening and she drove out on 35's at 3:00 AM Saturday morning.
