Any more updates? Did you find out why your rear window wasn't working? Very curious to find out, I bought a 95 4runner last year, rear window works fine with the switch near my gear shifter, up and down, but only goes down with the key in the tailgate, I have cleaned up the contacts on the key cylinder, even jumped the wires at the cylinder, replaced the window regulator with 3 different regulators. ( so i know its not the regulator) im thinking of just rerunning the wire from the cylinder to the regulator, being i found a pinched wire in the harness, along with a ground that was cut and butt connected back together.
Sorry to not post any updates for awhile. Continued disassembling my spare engine that I'm going to rebuild to replace the 255K Mile engine thats currently installed

No, I was going to start troubleshooting it in a few weeks hopefully. I've been hooking a jump box to the window motor to power it up and down as needed.
