One of my tailgate latches wasn't working correctly, so I pulled the tailgate panel off, cleaned and lubricated the release cables, and put things back together. They work properly again.

Hmmm, my tailgate closes and locks and nothing prevents the window going up... but it seems like it wont close ALL the way... Kinda sticks out a lil bit... Maybe I need to adjust something in there! OH, and I wanna do that bicycle tire tube mod on the latches, to SHUT THEM UP WHEN OFF ROAD! hahaha. Probably should just do the bushings... but MAN, seems like a pain! HAHAH

Thanks Mark. I'm not really in any hurry to sell the 4Runner, but I figured I'd put it out there in case there was any interest. I'm only listing it here on YT, currently. We've got three kids now, with plans for more in the future. I could keep the 4Runner, as a weekend toy, then find another vehicle that's a little more practical. I just don't have the cash lying around at the moment, and I refuse to finance a vehicle. Not a fan of debt, in any form. If the 4Runner does sell, I'll be looking for an 80 series Landcruiser, with three rows of seating. Ideally, when we go out camping with the kids, I'd like to take just one vehicle. Again, this is all just planning ahead, for our growing family.

OK.... now that's just CRUEL! hahaha... Why, you ask? Because you say "80 Series LC"... which is what, 90-97 .. So, with 98 and up they went IFS, right? Those are 90 series? Can't remember it all... But C'MONNNNN, I gotta know... Which one?

Gonna go 93+ to get front and rear electric lockers? 96+ for ABS factor? TELL ME, NOW! HAHAHA. BTW... when did the 2UZ-FE come out? I can't remember... In the LC I mean. 98? Anyway, tell me which one you're going for, ...obviously I'm curious, and I PROMISE.. it's all about ROOTING YOU ON! Maybe helping you find one, eh? I offer people to help them hunt for a rust free LC/4Runners/Tacoma's all the time, even see Diesels on occasion.. But NO ONE even in NoCal has taken me up on it. Meh, s'all good... at least I offer, right? haha.

Best wishes.. And 'IF IT SELLS'?????? Did you really just say that? lol. Mak92 just got like 8500$ FOR HIS 2ND GEN... with a 3.0 btw.... NOT knocking his rig.. .it was SWEET! and he put lots into it... Just saying. You have a VERY well maintained cherry, man.. I can't believe you're starting that low, to be honest! I know, it's not SFA to begin with or SAS.. but when well gone through, they fetch a decent price. I often wonder what I should ask for on mine if I ever did sell it(Not likely.. I want to keep on it until it's INSANELY "Sleeper/tank/rocket/climber" status! haha... Then give it to my Grandson or Granddaughter one day. But still, I'm curious... I don't think I wanna know, I'd probably be depressed, haha.

Have a great one, buddy, ...and best wishes on this, and also.... bless you and yours, man.. 3 and more on the way eventually, eh? WOOT! lol.

Mark, I haven't been looking too much yet, for the Land Cruisers, since the 4Runner is still in my driveway. When the time comes, I'll be looking for an LC with factory lockers (or better), and a third row seat. I want something fairly capable, off road, with more seats than my 1st gen.

As far as my asking price goes, I put it up for what I expect to get. If it doesn't sell, then I'll keep it and look for another option. I've got too much time and money in this thing, to let it go cheap.

Today, I replaced the worn out rear leafs with a better set, from my parts truck. Also did a ZUK mod with 97 4 Runner coils, and adjusted the torsion bars up front a little. The ride is so smooth now. I also replaced the rear cargo panels, with the extras I had, which are in very good shape, and installed the new DashMat. Just trying to clean up some loose ends for the next owner.

After driving the 4Runner around a bit, to settle the suspension, I noticed the rear sat a little too high for my taste. So, I removed the ZUK coils, and cut off a bit. After reinstalling them, it sits about where it should. I love the ride now. So much more comfortable than before. I also dialed in the shocks a bit, for a nice compromise between handling and ride quality.

I've got a couple guys interested in taking the 4Runner off my hands, so we'll have to see. It may be gone sooner than later.

Sure, PM me the link if you can. I found an ad that's pretty local to me, for a 94 with 98k, locked and 3 rows. I'll call on it if the 4Runner sells. Also, I spoke to a couple at work yesterday, who have had their 92 since it was new. They said it is by far the best vehicle they have ever owned. The dealer that services it for them tried talking them into trading it in on something newer, but failed. The tech thought it would be getting tired, at 250k, so he did a compression test for them. 5% lower than new! Such great vehicles.

Adam... like I said, wont say I'm 'SAD' to see it go.. It serves a good purpose for you. Will MISS seeing it in action though, if someone on here doesn't grab it!

You're more patient than I.... Honestly, if I was gonna sell mine it'd be EVERYWHERE on sale, hahaha... Why? Cuz I would be TOO LIKELY TO KEEP CHANGING MY MIND!

Best wishes, once again, regarding the "SALE"

I figure if I only advertise it here, there will be a chance to see where life takes it, after the sale. I really don't want just anyone, to own it. No rush either. From a buyers perspective, this would be a perfect rig to buy, then swap in duals, a solid axle, and some rear leafs... DONE. If I had the spare cash, I'd do it myself, then never part ways with it. Just that at this time in life, I've got to keep my priorities in line. The family comes first.

Oh wow... oddly.... after all I'd said... I suddenly feel sick to my stomach! lol... I KNOW, it'll pass, lol... Actually, I meant what i said,... it'll lead to something better for YOU, that's all that matters!

PS> Saw a SICK 4Door 70 or something LC the other day... Tan, 4" lift, 35's, 4wheel steering, 350TBI Chebby motor..... thing was SPOTLESS and probably cost him 30K at least to build.. EVERY expedition apparatus and tool you could think of on it, man! Matching handles and such, too, tan and black hahaha.

Take care, BEST WISHES ON THE SALE!

The 4Runner is officially sold. The new owner is very happy with it. I think he will put it to good use. I was kind of sad to see it drive away. Now it's time to go shopping. Wish me luck!

Congratz, man! Another "Recycled" Beauty!

Best wishes on the hunt.... it can get TEDIOUS and annoying.... but eventually, if patient, one can find the rig that's 'JUST RIGHT'!

Again, congratz

Thanks again, Mark. I'm not in too big of a hurry. A friend is letting me borrow her 4Runner, until I find something new. It's working out well, since I promised to fix a few things for her, anyhow. I do have my eye on a lifted LC, locally. We'll see...

During my search for a Land Cruiser, a friend mentioned a Sequoia he knew about. I went to look at it tonight, and should be taking it home tomorrow. It's an '02 Limited, with 133k miles. Should make a decent kid hauler, and tow rig for a future Toy.
