Luthiermans newb questions for an engine rebuild

First of all, hello to all of you nice people, I hope you can help. I did some searching and could not find an answer to my specific question. If this has been asked already please redirect me if need be. Believe me, I am sure there will be more. Id like to keep this thread going to make it easier to find my multiple inquiries.

I just restarted a complete overhaul on my 92 4x4 22re. Everything is here partwise, and all parts that needed to be machined have been done. I have the crank installed already and am starting to assemble the connecting rods and pistons. Here is the catch: According to my manual, the caps and rods and piston are cylinder specific. My caps are marked 1, 3, 3, and 3. My pistons are all identical. Is there any difference between any of these? Can I go ahead and place them in any cylinder as long as the orientation is correct? I really dont want to proceed until I know this answer. You know what they say about assumptions.

Thanks a bunch!
Jesse AKA Luthierman (and yes I build stringed instruments, it has nothing to do with being a Lutheran)

Bueller? Bueller?

Either nobody knows what I am talking about or I should just post a bunch of pics of the sweet ride where this engine resides. I know I am a whore for pics.

Or is it because I am new?

Your not supposed to get them mixed up.

Did you get anything machined at a shop?

Yes. I had a machine shop deck and bore my block. While that was there I had them press and machine the wrist pin bushings on the connecting rods. At one point I knew which was which, but when I sent them off I no longer knew. So then, what might I do? What would someone do if they bought all new rods? Those don't have a designation do they?

Thanks for the response.

I should also mention that this is a very thorough rebuild. About the only thing that is going to be original on this block is well, the block and connecting rods. New everything else.

By the way, I talked to my machinist about this and according to him, it would only matter if I were using the existing pistons and crank. So my questions are answered.
