Wow, that's like every other day I was having for a while! lol.... You'll get there, and then it's REALLY nice to have a cherry and just roll from mod to mod until you're done, ya know? But yes, ...that sounded pretty sucky.... GRR fest for sure! lol. Sorry that Cluster I gotcha didn't work out.... Is it the cluster or the wiring man? Cuz I've read MANY times where people had issues and it was usually something else. Obviously, Terry told me a lil something about you two talking about this... I had no idea it was giving you trouble.

If you want I'll keep my eyes open for another, ok? I have one... was gonna sell it after doing some swap-testing on my temp gauge.

I guess these clusters are a lil weathered after 25+ YEARS, EH? hehe.

Dont feel bad Jason, I know someone on the west side of Missouri that took 4hours to work on a dome light. I dont even want to mention adding a flush kit, things went terribly wrong there. It was just your turn, now it is somebody elses turn, at least we got our turns out of the way and over with.lol.

hey mark yep I guess we all have those days its over now tho so on to the next thing. as far as the cluster man no worries on that buddy it worked fine except the oil presure gauge I think it was but you told me about that, I dont know what happened to the tach. If you could keep your eyes open for another one that would be sweet other wise Im sure one will pop up some where.

Ok as ussual for me a different day a completely different project. I have really been wanting to get my interior done before my mom and dad headed home because my mom is real handy with that sort of thing. I ordered my fabric a couple weeks ago and the called the other day and said it was back ordered ugh, well today mom and went hunting fabric again and found some that matched the seats better than what I had ordered so it all worked out. We just worked on the rear seat panels today because I figuered they would be a little easier and we could kinda get a feel for how they were going to go together and look when done.

ruff cutting the padding

spray adhesive for fabric

trimming the padding

padding done

and for some reason I did get any picks of applying the fabric but heres one of the finished panel.

I chose to go with the lighter color in the seats and wind up with sort of a two tone look with all the plastic parts being the darker brown. the fabric looks a lot lighter in color than the seats but it mostly because the seats are dirty, when I get then cleaned up I think its gonna match great.

I also took a few minutes and painted some more of the panels

hopefully we can get the door panels finished tomorow and start getting it all back together. thanks for checking in guys.

got the door panels finished up today. I got the panels that we worked on yesterday installed along with some other interior parts. Im really happy with how they turned out and it was great haveing my mom and dads help.

dad working, he is a perfectionist with out trying

the process was the same for the door panels as for the rear, padding and fabric so I didnt bother to take any pics of that.

and while I had mom involved I had her throw together an arm rest for the center console

really hopeing to get it all installed and buttoned up tomorow, that is if I dont eat to much.

happy thanksgiving everybody

they are looking good! Door panels are a nice easy upgrade to do the only problem I had when I made mine was if I pup padding on the front part of the panel the window cranks would not reach the drive splines!!! I hope you checked that.

thanks brandon, Im really glad I decided to go ahead and do them but Im also greatful my mom and dad were here to help. I used the thinest padding I could find and the fit great but I could see where that could be a problem.

I snuck out and got all the panels put in today but I didnt get any pics yet. Im almost as happy with the interior as I am the paint. the cloth panels are gonna make it feel so much more comfy inside. the material matches great.
I couldnt resist taking it for a little ride today, still have a few running issues that I will have to figure out but I will save that for another day.

Thanks cyber horn, they place I got the fabric from recommended the padding I used its some kind of fiber stuff not foam, they claimed it will not break down over time like foam does and its thinner than 1/4 in foam, its just enough to add a little softness to the fabric, its also water resistant.
