yup. eg- my blue-sea fuse box can handle a max of 125 amps total, so i'll put a ~125 amp fuse(able link) between the box and the battery. i'll also have a higher amperage fuse in line with the stock fuse box, just in case the cable decides to short out (because of the battery-intake swap)

haha... more like the gimp bug. dam, that actually sounds like a real thing
i'll try it out... i'm not going to be painting it anytime soon. the next thing i'ma paint is the intake chamber followed by my trailer
oh, and i got the washers today. oh it's soooo nice to be done!!!!

Nice! I would go with something like that. Given the opportunity to do mine again, I would have gone a little higher on the wheel wells like this.

i've been planning out one of my next mods; the e-fan. i've created some logic here. the fan only needs to run if there is flow through the radiator. the thermostat controls the flow, so it would make sense to put the temp sensor in the t-stat housing, right? i've seen some housings with a tapped section for a sensor, and was wondering either where to get one, or what to search for. anyone know?

with an electric fan, it measures temperature right from the coolant, so it only turns on if the coolant needs to be cooled. so at highway speeds, when there's plenty of airflow around the radiator, there's no need for the fan, so it doesn't turn on.
also, the e-fan is silent when not in use

Not to mention when doing water crossings although you would think an efan to be a drawback, but since it doesn't always spin, you turn the fan off manually and it won't fling water/mud etc etc all over the engine bay.

sure thing. once i start the work on the mod, i'll be taking a bunch of pics. i've read that it's a relatively easy mod, and those who have done it love it. i need to upgrade the electrical first (i'll do some more work on that this weekend) to match the 140 amp output of my gm alternator. that's another nice swap, almost bolt-in, too.
