Hydrabyte' s Blue 1989 4runner Build-Up Thread
Well my 96 build thread didn't last long since a respectable offer came my way so here's to the 1ST Gen I always wanted. Matter of fact I was serving this great country of ours and stationed in Okinawa ~1984 and had in my hands a Toyota brochure introducing the 1st Gen. Just didn't save enough pennies back then to afford a brand new one at $15k. Now I have almost as much as that tied up in this investment.
Spent 21 years on Cali then Arizona and finally made to the east coast when I picked it up. PO didn't take care of her but have since made several Mods and she cleaned up nicely.
Replaced everything AC related, must have in FLA
New radiator, water pump, timing belt, plugs, wires, distributor cap, drive belts, power antenna, tires, muffler, stage 2 clutch, blinker control arm, rear leafs, front upper ball joints, entire front steering components, rancho shocks, stock mud flaps, hoop steps, viper alarm, etc.. Just picked up stock SR5 wheels & having them power coated now.

Nice looking runner you found. I am not a fan of the Bushwacker Flares but there is another brand called Jungle Flares that I think look great on these trucks. Welcome to Yotatech.
