Glad to hear you are bringing it back to life and things are moving along. One day I will do another runner and yours is something I might like to copy. It is a great looking rig. Always liked how well yours was the first time.

Thanks man! I have been flip flopping about the color...keep her the same?
Or the factory dark grey. She was black originally.

Stopped by a Toyota dealer on the way home and ordered a new oem head gasket. They wanted 7.99 each for head bolts...think Ill just get them from engnbldr.

So I need to decide if I should do the new oilpump..waterpump...chain and guides deal. They all should be good still..she's only got 20k on a rebuild.
Pretty sure there is a steel guide in there...

Good new..mightymouse found me a lc header used for $125.

Bad news...dang work van needs 4 new ball joints to pass inspection.
And a sway bar bushing. I have no press and all 4 are press in.
I have to have the shop down the road do it as I need the van tomorrow.

So I got em to do all 4 and align it and such for $800.

I feel like less of a man that I cant do it.

And my wallet hurts this week.

Did the presoak the exhaust bolts ritual.

Gave her a good bath. Vacuumed the leaves and rocks out.

The more I look...the more pissed I get. Im disgusted with

Santa Claus in a brown suit always makes my day with new shiney parts. It is a shame what some new owners do to a really nice truck. Then they wonder why they dont ever have anything.

I dont know if you know about this in your neighborhood. I was talking to another member that hasnt been on here in awhile and he says they are still open. This was about 6 months ago. I have had to go to KC for parts and when I get more serious on the interior later on, I will make a run to them when I get to that stage.
