Hi there
So Im new to Yota tech and I have wanted this truck for a while.
I bought my 94 a couple months ago. Its a 22re 5 speed with 345 000 ( 214, 372 miles)

When i got it i found out it had some minor repair work that needed to be done but other then that its a pretty clean truck.

Heres a list of the maintenance items That I need to do.
- New plugs
- new wires and distributor
- brakes all around
- New fenders ( Right side is rusted out, left is horribly dented)
- new timing chain
- drop the tranny and rebuild 5th gear as its shredded and i can only use 4th gear
- replace the clutch while i have the tranny out.
- misc rust removal
- weld a hole around the exhaust.
- new belts
- new fuel filter.

Once its going to run for another million miles, i need to get:
- a new front bumper with a winch. I like the warn rock crawler bumper, but Im wondering if anyone has experience with other ones in terms of strength and looks. I also like the ones from addicted off road
- 3" body lift
- 4" suspension lift ( although i dont know it this is needed as its extra wear and tear on the diff)
- new tires ( id like to be able to tuck 33's under there)
- lockers front and rear
- snorkel
- Diff breathers ( maybe im not sure if i need them though)

If anyone else has any ideas id love to hear them

 

i always wanted to know what was best to do with my breathers, i just ran long hoses to under the hood on the firewall... and with a body lift you should clear 33s atleast
