Funkengruven94's 1994 2WD Pickup Build-Up Thread....
Here is the rig as it sits
94 2WD 22re
stock engine except for k&n filter and LC engineering header w/cat back flowmaster
3.5" fabtech upper a-arm lift 4" shackle in the rear with 1.5" leaf springs
4" spindles
on 235-75-15 goodyear AT
block and head were rebuild locally about 20k ago...but truck has 308k
So my timing chain guides broke a few weeks back, so when I was in there i decided to check my valve clearance. When i inspected the cam i notice some considerable wear on the cam lobes so i decided to get an LC engineering (pro torquer) cam and some new rockers. I also decided i needed to pull the oil pan because there were pieces of plastic from the guides down in there and i needed to get them out. This proved to be a pita but eventually snaked it out. gonna be replacing almost every seal and gasket in the motor except the mainshaft to the tranny (didnt pull engine but if i were to do this again i would definitely pull the motor, would have been much easier..) Also got new (rebuilt) fuel injectors. In the end im gonna switch to AmsOil because i can get it pretty cheap and i swear by that stuff...
