FSM Help

Hi Guys,

I haven't posted in long while. Been doing the buildup for the past 2 years and am close to finished. I have an 87 4runner with an 88 donor body. While rewiring everything, something is crossed and causing continuity across everything. Basically if I connect the positive cable to the batt I get continuity through the engine body and to the neg cable. I am trying to eliminate circuits but all I have is an 85 fsm which is missing a full wiring diagrams, and a crappy Haynes manual. I won't waste anymore of your reading time, but if someone can dropbox or email me a pdf of the 87 FSM I would be greatly in your debt. I'll post some eyecandy as a trade. Thanks,

Michael

I can't help with a wiring diagram, but have you removed every fuse and relay and tested for continuity then??

You might be able to narrow the problem down some by adding one thing back at a time.

Isolation of circuits is in progress...It would just really help to have the diagrams

Just wanted to say I could still use the fsm but thanks for the reply. The circuit was the dome light, radio, and courtesy door lock. There were some poorly soldered wires which were apparently shorting everything out.

Now just have to finish the engine and wait for parts.

Damn dude, looks incredibly clean. Did you paint the cover yourself? Sorry the link doesn't work.

I did do the cover and plenum. I taped and painted using the rattle can engine enamel that was about $6 at autozone and then used a little touchup Toyota white from Toyota.
