My buddys CJ-8 was the only rig to have any issues. We thought it was just the clutch linkage, which we fixed on the trail already. This is when we pulled off the trail a mile after the fix and found the linkage went again and tie culprit was broken motor mounts. A little trail engineering and it was ready to go. Bailing wire and straps got it held to get it home.

Looks like a blast! Great scenery too! My wife does the same thing with the O --- handle, she doesn't enjoy it as much, but I think she will come around.

It's was fun. My buddy was suppose to fix his mounts this weekend. I'm pretty sure I need new tie rods(inners and outers) will do new adjustment sleeves and steering stabilizer also. My Steerings real bounce and shaky. Will order from rock auto. Love that site. Also gotta get a lower ball joint, shredded one of the boots.

I have everything and just need to get it on my runner as well. Rock auto has a discontinued parts site as well and they are the same parts, just a different manufacture or something like that. I am changing out my pitman arm and I think I got it form them for $15. I would suggest swapping out your bushing while going that deep. I hear the Rag joint, goes in between the steering shaft and gear box can make a difference as well.

So I've been a little lazy. Haha. Work mostly and house stuff. Have our house up for sell, so looking at others. Trying to find one that fits what we want and need and is In our price range sucks. In the Yota front, haven't really done anything to the truck, just driving it to work and around. Have to replace he passenger side ball joints. I drive 3 miles to work so it's not to bad but will do before winter. Trucks been running fine other then that. Gotta get some exhaust pipe and add in. Getting fumes in cab with windows down while stopped to long. Hope to do some new door panels this fall/winter. In between duck and deer hunting

Wife came home for her lunch break and I got busted by the UPS man showing up with some front end parts that I hadnt told her about. She missed the UPS man today, hehehe. Here is a link that might come in handy for rock auto. http://www.rockauto.com/RSS/vehiclef...l=en&html=true

So havent done much of anything to the truck. Been driving it to work everyday and around town some. Had to do a hospital watch at work in Pueblo, which is about 35 miles away. First time running the truck on the highway that far. Usually been running maybe 10 miles to walmart and thats really it and most that is at about 45-55. On highway to Pueblo was 65. So 70 miles round trip, Truck did great. Been burning up a little oil, About a quart a month. Did have it over heat on me about 3 weeks ago, but was low on coolant, didnt think to check it, like a idiot. But topped it off and havent had a issue since. Actually heater is warmer now lol. No real plans for work this winter. Prob try to replace belts if I get some free time. Spring I plan on putting together some kind of front bumper. Gonna talk to a buddy from work, he has a set of 33s sitting at his dads, he original traded for to put on a willys project but the willys is on the back burner and the tires are just sitting. He hasnt told me a price, just tells me to make a offer. so Ill see if he is up for the offer I give. I think he said its 5 on rims, think there 33x10.5R15 A/Ts. They were on a K5 blazer, so the rims will mount just fine. Hope I can get them from him for a good price.

Trucks parked for now. Gotta replace alternator belt. It died on me last week when belt wasn't spinning. Died a mile from house. So wife and I had to walk home in the snow, I was carrying the pizza for dinner. Jumped it with wife's car and got it home. Been busy with work so haven't replaced it. Did get 2" Ball joint lift from wife for Christmas. And the new interchangeable head craftsmen drill with impact attachment can't wait to use on truck.

Thanks. It's become an addiction over the past 11 years I've had it. Got a set(5)of 33x12.5r15 on 15x10 chrome rims from a buddy for $200. Prob got 60% tread but for 5 in rims that have same bolt pattern, couldn't pass them up.
So waiting for a nice weather day to put bj lift and tires on.

So yea its been awhile since Ive been on here. A lot of changes in the last 10 months. First was we sold our old house and bought a new one. And it has a garage
2nd: We are foster parents and got our first placement Feb 9th. She is still with us. She was 5 months old when we got her.
3rd: Did work some on the truck. Put the 2" BJ lift and 33x12.5R15, new tie rods, added new head light adjusters and LED interior light fron LRO. Did take it out wheeling in June. Will try to upload pics later, I had the baldest tires, highest mileage and lowest HP and still kept up and led some areas that the JKs were having trouble with lol. Went out again first weekend of September to Madano Pass to the Sand Dunes. Had to turn around about 200 yards in. Was going up a hill and temp gauge was hitting high. Stopped and let it cool down. My buddy Justin was riding with our pastor in his tundra. They came down and Justin barely touches my fan and it spins easily. We knew then that my fan clutch was out. So drove it down after it cooled down and once I was on the main roads again it had no issues. Was driving it a little to work and back to see how it would go and never over heated. Then it just wouldn't start. Checked everything and figured it out to be the starter. JOY!! So the truck is currently sitting by the side of the garage awaiting me to get the extra and time to fix it. Been thinking that it might be the end of the road for this truck. Thinking it might be time to sell it. There is a guy I know at church that his dad is a big Toyota guy and he wants to buy it. If I sell it I think ill go to a 4Runner. Might be best thing for having the little one with us and if I want to take my dogs with us. Decisions, Decisions
