No real update. Havent got to work on truck. Last think I did was install my new speakers I got for Christmas. Did pick up few little parts. Needed new brake pad pins and spring piece. Gonna try to work on it some more this next week. Been spending my days off working on my new shed. Its bigger and I will have more room in it to work.

Update. Got the passenger door and fender primed and painted and clear coated. Also put in the corner light. The passenger side body is done. Gonna start on drivers this week when the weather gets better. It's snowing now. Joys of living in Colorado.

It is looking good. One step at a time will get you there. This winter just doesn't want to go away here as well.

Got new part!!!! Went out to the u pull & pay and my wife went with me. we found a hood we paid 50, skid plate I got for only 5 and a fuel door for 3. Could find a fender that was in good shape. They only had 3 2nd gen pick ups and no 1st gen 4runners. Gonna hit another yard up on my days off.

Thanks Terry. Started cleaning the skid plate with degreaser, gonna have to take it to the car wash and power washer it. Got the body work done in the hood today. And primed the fuel door. Would of done more on hood but the wind kicked up and weather looked crappy. Hope to prime the hood tomorrow and finish the fuel door

Got the fender I needed, also got a set of front mud flaps and piece of windshield trim I needed but didn't realize I need the corner also. Total was $72. Fender almost perfect, only has one or 2 tiny scratch spots that have little rust. Also got a 31x10.5r15 BFG a/t from a buddy of mine for free. Prob 70% tread. He had it as a spare for his wj but now it had Dana 60s and 38s.

Finding a fender is a rare thing around here and not much better on the mudflaps. You lucked out on those. Great find.

Got the new fender and hood painted and installed, also painted the driver's door. Only got the driver side x-cab and roof to paint. Tire is swapped on my rim and on the truck. Got the new brake pads on. Gotta clean out the truck and put the grill on then I will be pulling it out of the back yard. Been sitting there in 9/13/11. So gotta put good battery in it and top off fluids. Will prob drive it around the block and let the engine heat up and see how it feels. Then do a good servicing. Plan to take it on a Employees week offroad trip the 1st Saturday in June. So crossing my fingers it gets done soon.

Got it up and running. Did new plugs and oil change, bled brakes and topped off all the fluids. Added engine restore to it also. Running great. Till it around the block.

Finally found a headlight retainer ring. Went out to a local yard and they had a few yotas. Found a few 1st gen with front solid axles. They said $250 for a complete front axle. That is a want in the long term but not on the back burner, more still in the fridge haha. Been driving it the past couple days to work and back(only 6 miles round trip a day) Had my passenger side front shock come out and ended up bending the shock. Wife saw it and suggest just going to autozone and getting a replacement till I can get some extra money for Pro Comps. Ill post pics of the old one later. Also did the passenger side sway bar bushings. Will do drivers either tomorrow or tuesday. Going to look at houses tomorrow. We put ours on the market last week, need something little bigger and with a garage. Having to work outside has a few nice things, I love being out doors but cant wait to have a nice garage to work in. Have a offroad trip for work on the 7th, so will be trucks first trip out in almost 9 years. Eclipes seats aint bad. Just odd driving a truck with buckets. My 97 F150 has a bench, so its different. Just need to tighten up the mounts. Also mounted the stock seat belt clicker things on to the seats and it works good. Wifes a little worried and nervous about the trip, will be her first trail ride but since we are going to the sand dunes she is excited.

Hopefully the wife will get into the trip and if she likes it, it makes getting funds a little easier for the projects. Hope all goes well for you. It is the little details that slow you down on a project. Those take more time then the major things.
