How did I not know about the dual? Thought the rabbit hole you mentioned was the Trekker....
I'm down to making the sticks play nice with each other, how are you (or someone like you) going about those?
The snorkel is nice, cross fingers it works out well.

2 years is super-fast.
haha, it has been so long i almost forgot i owned this thing.
the sticks...if you mean the triple sticks are gonna be pretty far back..it makes me wonder if I will even be able to have a center console that will be functional.
And if the snorkel thing doesn't work out I still have all the body parts from this 95 a friend gave me 5 years ago..i have given away most of the interior parts i saved, wish i had kept the left rear interior cargo piece i need now..impossible to find now but oh well
the truck has been down south for a 3 or 4 weeks. Heading down there thursday to drop off some of the my drive shaft collection to see what Don will need so i will sneek some progress pics.
R@Redeth005 aka richard will get one of the rear d/s if it will fit in his 4runner. I am kind of hoping the two shorter rear d/s from the Trekker will work with out too much work..

That's a lot of driveshafts, crossing fingers you've got a pair that'll do the trick!
Yeah, the triple sticks. Got mine figured, just took enough pleases and thank-yous to get all 4 levers- transmission and transfers- to behave themselves.
Good luck on getting yours sorted into what you want, or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof.
So in my never-ending search for lighting led me to find Rigid Ignites.
found out they use a go pro style mount.
Ordered a set of magnetic mounts.
Instant camp lights
when I get the truck back from Northwest Toys I'll put them to use
So Don at Northwest Toys LLC was finishing up the dual case install for me. Got a message saying there was an issue with the T-G Crossmember. Not sure how I missed it but the crossmember isn't compatible with automatics
So Budbuilt is being contacted to do a custom crossmember...sucks but the truck has been down for 2 years so another couple of months will be worth it.
I would have like a set of maxtrax due to their reputation but at $300 a pair I decided to see if I could find a set that didn't stack a foot high.
I found a set of bunker industries ramps that 4 of them stack right around 4" hight

Sucks about the crossmember. I'm glad they'll make a custom one though. Can't wait to see this thing moving again and out on the trails
Thanks, i got burned out on this thing but with it so close I am motivated to get it on the trail./ I think it as been 5 years since I went on a trail run.

Yah I almost hit the order button once and for some reason did a 2nd read and caught the aut vs manual tranny issue. I made my own but it was hard. And not perfect lol. Its nice bubuilt will make custom. Didnt think of that. I hate the dorky stock one :/
Well she is getting closer. Don sent pics of the old Trekker sliders mounted on the 4runner.
nice thing about having sliders is some of the non door opening individuals in the parking structure will think twice now about not giving a crap if their door hits the 4runner..
they are beat after protecting the Trekker for 10 years of running PNW trails
Finding 90-95 4runner parts locally has been challenging lately. Hit the Local pick in pull today and found the rear interior piece to replace the part I cut out when I had the rear storage cabinet in the cargo area.. it came out because we are getting another husky this spring and need the room
And looKing at the big dead space where the speaker used to be I may see if I can mount a small lock box there for some misc secure storage.
I also picked up another set of seats ..no clue what they are out of, they were laying on the back of a Mazda truck. A friend thinks they are out of a 1st gen Rav4. They cleaned up pretty good. Got these because I have a feeling the Forester seats I got a awhile ago might be too tall as far as the seat bottom.
I may gut those seats to get the heated seat inserts out ..We'll see.

As far as seats go- Our trucks are built more like compact cars than trucks. I think when I was measuring for my seats, it was something like 4 inches thick for the cushion, right on the floor. Any more and the headroom goes away. When looking for seats, the ones that tend to fit best are from smaller cars- my 93 Mustang seats were about 3 steps away from bolt-in.
It also might help with height to swap the chair rails- using the rails from the truck on the bottom of the new seats. This kept the height down a lot in my setup.
