sold the inclinometer cover an shipped it out.

""pictures will be loaded later eating an heading back out to continue blitz""

parked the skelly on the lawn under the shade and seats are out feet painted on them need second coat, carpet is clean but needs more vacuuming cleaning

OH your runner can make for some serious profit more on that below!

seats are in the shifter WOW that's a huge difference! in that i had to clean up the stem an ball a bit the boot is torn so i used some permatex on it till i can get a replacement

need to get a couple better screws for the cup holder the ones i had popped out so thats delayed the radio going in fuily also want to tidy up the wires in there to keep its fan clear, cleaned up the rear heater and was hoping for more treasure an im not talking just coins....

i found a ring... under the drivers seat pressed in the carpet where itd slipped under the rail heavy for its size 8 sparkily stones possibly real diamonds shawna went online an started looking up the markings says its OLD antique age 1890 -1920 range platinum or white gold found one nearly identical on ebay for $1k shes gona take it to the jeweler tomorrow to confirm things if it is ill have some cash for the rear end parts an tool for the bearing removal money to buy feed for the horses and take the family out for sushi

dragon likes treasure....

pictures as promised

didnt take any pictures of the seats as all i was doing was wire wheeling the feet and priming painting them then greased an lubed the tracks

seats out yep a mess spilled coffee an who knows what... indeed

OH look at that a 2 dollar canadian coin and a ring... value to be determined

shot of the sparkilies

shifter out carpet is cleaned needing a full vacuum the ball seat was in really good shape for its age might have been replaced but its going bye bye

boots torn darn it an i likely did it trying to get it off nother thing for my list of parts i used some permatex on it to try an keep it sealed for now

NEW martin crawler ball seat in easy as pie

the ball end was a PITA had to finally wedge it off after cutting the majority open new one is firmly tapped on (thank you rich for the make sure of) all buttoned up best i can for now radio harness in the shot amazing how firm it is now sheesh LOL

radio fully installed cupholder as well hope it works the switch below the cig lighter i removed more of those mysterious wires running all around inside the dash an under to the door sills so its just a hole filler right now

where i stopped for the night some primer on the pass door sill will paint tomorrow the carpet behind the console is still brown with dirt but not as bad as it was before which was caked in. my carpet is actually a grey blue the things ya find out as you clean...

I'm jealous of that pristine under seat area you have there and you found prizes and didn't smell of cooking oil and failure.

Grats on all the progress Dragon! Good to have tunes and places for cups. I always get a kick out of those mysterious bundles of wiring you find in older cars. Makes me wonder what happened to the flux capacitors that must have been installed. =)

that pristine carpet stunk the resolve spray cleaner helped a ton and it pulled a freaking mess outa the fibers my 7 yr old she was i want to help dad
me here scrub while i get this greasy spot with the mean green LOL

that ring if its as valuable as the lady thinks couldnt come with better timing i want to get the polyurethane spring bushings for the rear, brake pads front an rear the bearings, seals an the tool to pull the backer plates off the axles so i can replace mine which are rusted out ive got the plates but.. also could get the zuk coils in at the same time then install the calipers an rotors i got from mark and the final touch shocks also bought from mark

the rear needs the special attention as the ebrake system is kinda frozen in spots they work but not fully rear end is all crusty wirewheeling an then primer paint the zuk's need to make a cup for the end as the PO removed the bumpstops

i actually have a flux capacitor of wiring on the engine my huge grounds lol

I've been a couple months getting my stereo installed lol, great work man I need to do the shifter bushings in mine as well. I got my carpet out of another truck and it was in really good shape for 20 or so year old carpet, my old carpet was rotten just pull on it and it would tear, soaked with brake fluid on the driver side (from some jug head letting a clutch master leak forever).
I will tell you like I tell terry all the time if you run out of things to do on yours, your more than welcome to come lay hands on mine maybe then it would get done lol.

Good luck with the ring! I hope that works out, always nice to make a find like that. I remember pulling a few hundred dollar bills out of a repair kit in the back of triumph years ago. Someone had been smart and then forgetful.

When I pulled my driver's seat, there was around a pound a half of fast food that had been sitting there for god knows how long between the seat and console and a bucket of deep fryer oil had been spilled on the passenger... Things were rough.

well the ring isnt as awesome as thought

yes its platinum engagement band
7 genuine diamonds
size 4 1940 to 1948 era this was confirmed by the jeweler as the diamonds are cut 'rose' patern which was popular an done only during the 40's which has 28 facets the current is 35 hand cut very clear diamonds jeweler said hadnt seen clarity like them in years during an era when platinum was 5x the value of gold someone really loved someone

due to its being resized to a 4 from a 7 at minimum is where we get into issues in its current state to the right person 400 but pawn shops cant sell it easy due to the size best offer was 150 as it'd take 120 in platinum to get it back up to the size someone could wear as peoples fingers have gotten bigger since the 40's an the resize is at least that old the resize also took the halmark out which dont help either so not quite the treasure expected

jeweler suggested craigslist a collector in sunvalley (rich people have homes there) and older folk wanting to regain a lost treasure might pop up an offer

if not then gona keep it resize it an give to my daughter when she graduates highschool as a nest egg i really dont have much of anything else to pass on to her even my moms rings arent all that valuable an were cut from her fingers the last time she was in the hospital
the diamonds which are solid in their mounts if one were to be lost would be impossible to replace due to the rose cut its just not done anymore so there we have it

oh well glad i didnt get my hopes up never do anymore just dont

finished cleaning up the passenger side

an a bit of paint on the gas door it was bugging me patch of rust faded paint GRRR quick sanding and hit of primer then paint ahh better!

then i went after the rear speakers! the before and much better sounding after!

also put them in plastic enclosures due to the 'open' air of my rear fenders (which i didnt take a picture of as they were cheesey plastic but they'll do the job till the fenders are fixed)

put my tail gate cover back on (no plastic but tired of the open metal) cleaned the rear area up a bit tried to get the rear deck light to work but good bulb zero light checked at the connector an no power at all to the 4 wires tried with key on/off decklight switch on still nothin gona take more investigation on that

then i started her up to park her back where she belonged and YUCK she was all brappp braappp like a turbo'ed ricer! checked an my dieing muffer which decided to barf out the rusted off outlet pipe i stuck it back in an sounds better had to put some plumbers tape over the pipe to keep it in last thing i want is a ticket for nearly no muffler

Ooooh, I missed a good update as I was typing! Nice work man it is really looking good in there! I've been keeping my eyes open for a first gen or pick up to try and see if I could get the wheel wells ... Just been pretty dry lately. Plus I haven't had any time to go down there, and I'm kind of bummed because I wanted to go check out a 78 Celica... I've seen 3 down there of the older generation persuasion and they have all been really clean...
