Crank too tight to spin.

I've read through many different threads on all of the common sites and cannot find out why I cant spin my crank.

Its far too tight to do anything.

The crank was said to have been turned .10 and I pulled a rod cap off and it was .25
That doesn't seem right to me, but I don't know about the measurements on these things anyhow.

I re torqued everything and still too tight.

What do I do?

Sure its a crank shaft journal issue and not in the cylinders...?

Piston to cylinder wall clearance too tight...?

Corrosion...?

Incorrect bearing sizes installed...?

Engine taken apart..?

Assembly still together...? Top end restrictions...?

What size bearings should be used on a crankshaft that has been turned .10 under?

.10 over. The crank and bearing together still have to equal the total diameter of the old crank and bearing combo. If your bearings state .25 oversized, you have the wrong bearings.

Thank you JonnyBoy. I was almost certain that was the case and I've only been working on engine for a year. The nitwit who put this together said he had been working on these for years.

The rods, pistons, main and rod caps were all installed incorrectly.

CHECK out EVERYTHING when you buy a new engine!
