cootees 90 2dr 4runner build

Realized I don't actually have a build thread here.. so here it goes.

The short and sweet version. 90 2dr runner. v6, mt. fully loaded

Searched for a while and bought it like this.

Lifted using bj spacers, tbar crank, fj80 coils, 4crawler panhard drop.
Added a basket and put it on 32's. Got the wheels powdercoated.

Got a new rear bumper(Marlin Crawler) had it powdercoated.

Added Trail-Gear sliders

Rear differential took a dump. Replaced it with an e-locker differential from a trd edition tacoma. Used the ORS harness.

Bought a stripped 84 pickup for the solid front axle.

Brown santa gave me some goodies

Phil sent me some OME860 coils.

Stock fj80 on the left. ome 860 on the right. As you can see the height is relatively the same but more wraps and much heavier allows and additional 2" of lift plus it with the heavyness of the coils it should help stiffen up the rear a bit.

Springs leveled out the sas nicely.

Auxillary reverse light. This very well might be one of the most useful mods I have ever done.

Put it on 37 12.50 mtr's.

started buying new toys. Still gotta get everything else for the dual case setup.. but its a start. Plan is to keep 2.28 in the front and run 4.70 in the rear case.

Why not just use the stock fj80 coils? A lot cheaper than buying new coils and very flexy.

However I am not sure where you can buy ome in Canada. I purchased mine from Phil(Strap22) at Toyota of Dallas.

hmm i could run those coild but they always seem to make the back too high? i want it to sit level or lower than the front. and it seems the 901's sit right where i want them. did you have your t bars cranked at all with the bJ spacers? and can u buy the ome coils online or anything? thanks dude

Never have and I don't intend too until I am ready to lock the front. It's really not that bad with 4.10's as long as you don't do any highway driving.

Here is my almost complete driveshaft. I have to put new u joints in the double cardan and it will be done.

The shaft is 1x1 1/8 solid steel. The receiver side was sleeved to accept the shaft. The u joints will be the weak spot of this driveshaft.
