A bad idea to use undercoating? Since when? I never received the memo.

I have been using undercoating on my 93 since I bought it and thanks to that I still have little to now rust developing.

Where did you hear that it was bad and what effects did they say it would cause?

hey man, nice truck, not bad for $500. I bought mine for $700.

New England winters can be tough, so any paint on the chassis or steel will only help protect it from the salt. Even with no prep work, it will help hold off the rust until you properly do it. Good work =]

Yeah i hear ya. I live in RI and we can some bad snow as well.
I knew a mechanic that had a 93 pickup extended cab 3.0 that used to soak the chassis in all the waste oil from the shop every fall to prevent rust from forming....it worked really well haha

Once i get the parts for the leafsprings and get them on just a few wiring problems horn doesnt work and drivers side front blinker then its pretty much done for now got two holes in the bed to patch. Drain the gear oil and change that along with antifreeze probly and get plates for it. Getting my Evo back this week sometime so ill be driving that anyway but atleast theyll both be ready then i can start to try and sell my jeep..
