Replaced all the radiator hoses, topped off the 50/50 Toyo Red, new air filter, and changed the fuel filter.
Holy. Hell. Whatever yahoo changed it before me put gd-mofo'in Loctite on one of the flare nuts. It took me and another guy 2 days, a crow's foot flare nut wrench, a pile of extensions, two 18" breaker bars, and half a bottle of liquid wrench to get the old filter off.
At any rate, it was baaaad inside there. I shook all the fuel out of the filter via the inflow side and onto a paper towel, and it was like emptying out a coffee filter.
Good news, the fuel that dribbled from the outflow side was clean, if maybe a touch milky. So we're hoping that it was just a restriction problem.
Bad news, there was some type of fine metal shavings (.5mm) that came out the inflow side.
So somewhere in the tank, pump, etc, something is trying to eat itself.
The shavings were bright silver so either aluminum, or freshly cut steel.
Thoughts?
