Chevy 350

I know the 22-RE would be easier and more reliable to put into my 1992 2wd truck but i have the money and the time to do something out of the norm and put a 350 motor in there. I was just wondering if anyone has done this before and what they did for the Motor Mounts and for the electrical. Thank you so much and please dont bad mouth me on getting rid of the 22re. It is blown and has over 400000 miles on it already.

If you do a search you will find more than enough information on this swap. It has been done many times over.

Wecome to Yotatech! I'll try to give you some useful info that I have come across doing my swap (even tho i went with the blue oval) lol.

The electrical kinda depends on if you are staying with fuel injection or if you going with a carbed 350. A carb is definately easier, on my ford 302 V8 swap I eliminated the entire 22re EFI wiring harness and computer. Then it's just a matter of running 2 wires, one for the coil and one for the starter. Someday I want to find a donor 5.0 mustang and get the motor, wiring harness, and computer, and swap that in, but for now I'm content with the carb.

For the motor mounts you can get them at Northwest Offroad: http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/motormounts.php
or I believe you can get them at Advanced Adapters
You will also have to address the exhaust, Northwest offroad sells headers too, or check out OneIwilly's build thread, he used the older factory "ram horn" style exhaust manifolds with good results.Another thing to think about is clearance issues with the SBC, most people run a bodylift. I noticed you already found the "domestc engine swap" section, there is a lot of good info there, Good luck with the research, Ihope this is helpful!
