What's up my reptilian friend? Hahaha... Thanks buddy!
Hahaha! Hey C!
Hmmmmmm, well, its partly insulation/sound deadening...... and the rest is spending MANY hours, sections ar a time, going through every bolt and machine screw you can find. Other times you can hear things and never find them..... but that doesn't mean its without explanation...
A few years ago, as I pulled this motor out the first time...( I should say, when I pulled the original motor out which is now half gone, lol)... I found resting, between the block and motor mount, a nine sixteenths deep dish socket... It's rattling and ping ping pinging around in there was a source of serious frustration! The funny thing is, like it is with most people, after removing the aforementioned noise, I noticed about 5 others that I never had before! Hahahaha.
What's funny to me is when you said how quiet it is... True, compared to many it is very quiet, even as it is... But, what you hear in the video is 95 percent due to a step ladder I have in the back. I was using it to help my mom get into the truck while her truck was down at the Honda service center. I can hear it in the video a couple times cracking around... The other five percent is my keys, which bounce off the column plastic. Otherwise, this truck, with a lot of work, and being fortunate enough to not have to deal with serious corrosion, has become so quiet, aside from tire noise, that I sometimes find the Honda to be more annoying with its little plastic vibrations and so forth.
One of my next steps is to insulate the doors... And then the floorboard at the firewall. I will not be using sound deadening there as my truck is completely coated on top and under in a rubber coating type of stuff... I also don't want that hot of an area to be making contact with that tar type stuff... That's why I didn't use any on the transmission hump.
instead, I will be using Thermoshield or possibly just Frost King insulation. probably the former as it is just quite a bit thicker and meant for that application very specifically. I will use it up over the forward part of the hump, as well, in front of the shifter bezel and under the stereo, because that area tends to get fairly hot by your feet... I'm actually pretty excited about that, but it has to be done very specifically to prevent too much space in between the floor & the pedals.
The actual personal experience I have, regarding the insulation and sound deadening that I did in the rear portion of the truck panels... Holy mackerel! I can't even describe how much better it is and how much cooler it is as well. I can't recommend the frost King stuff enough! After all, it is closed cell foam, already coated in adhesive, and being so moldable and thin is able to cover every nook and cranny and then leave really no room for moisture to build up... Closed cell foam is totally resistant to moisture. Having a very high quality sick for a while back to it doesn't hurt either. Neither does the fact that it is probably 1/10th of the weight of the sound deadening material and maybe 1/5th of the weight of the thermo shield... And lastly, being $18 a roll?... Bitchin!
I will do some to sound deadening in the door, but I will not completely cover it especially considering most of what I've read from the professionals states that you only need a few strips to absorb the vibration... And at some point it's going to get so heavy that it actually affects things otherwise. Its really a matter of physics I guess... And from what they were saying, covering 50 percent of the door in the weaker spots that are not beveled can absorb just as much sound and vibration as covering the entire door. I would actually like to see different videos of this to believe it..., but I can tell you from my own practical application that when I put the insulation on the pasenger side in back, which I did secondly, I used a bit more than I had on the driver side..... I then covered both versions with the frost King... I can't honestly tell a difference between the two . One thing for sure is that if you cover the entire inside of the panels with sound deadening like peel & seal or Useal like I used... It will definitely add insulation as far as temperature control. It will also out about 10 pounds of weight. Not to go on and on, but regarding weight? Every little freaking bit counts. It's not whether I use one roll of that stuff or 3... Its the fact that if I use three rolls instead of 10, during the process of sound deadening the entire car, I'm talking a difference of probably 50-60 pounds. When you start combining that with about 30 other things that you've added including armor and high lift and other recovery gear... Compressor and air tank... Power inverter and second battery... The list goes on and on including amplifiers and sound systems... It all adds up together to be something that you need to cut back on wherever you can.
Hahaha! Hey C!

Wow, what you get for it?
My mom just bought a real ring from a second hand store for $15. Thought it was costume jewelry but when I had a look at it the jewelers mark was visible and I was able to look them up.

Get ready,.......SET,.......LET THE ANEURYSMS BEGIN!!!!!!!..... hahahhaa....

Pretty sure, along with a milk crate full of electrical stuff I have in the garage, ....I have everything I need now to wire my roof lights, rock lighs, cb, LED switches, OBA and more.... Can't wait!
...hehe.... jk, just initially nervous.... But as the plan comes together, I LOVE IT!
1 RELAY FOR REAR LIGHTS, 1 RELAY FOR BOTH SIDE FACING LIGHTS AND ONE RELAY ALREADY WIRED FOR THE 20" AND 2X7" FORWARD FACING .....AND ONE RELAY FOR COMPRESSOR.
BLUE seas systems 12 pin should be plenty now... And I PROMISE to solder and route everything according to GURU ELECTRONIX recommendations!
haha
LED Touch switch will be for air....
Wired up and test ran the winch today..... disconnected and routed it behind battery (dont want idiots/kids messing with it when its parked).

Heck yeah, 85! It's a crazy store called Signal Electronics. Very famous in the Los Angeles/South Bay area. They have a wall that big with just Romex Connectors and project boxes...... on one side of one isle! Lol..... They also have everything needed including all different types of LED lights to make your own LED project. I'm really not interested at the moment, lol!

I was thinking about the Fusible Link wire... I almost took a pic of the wires and breaker styles.

I actually got all the Cobra 75WX ST kit out of the box and tried to get a plan together.... DANG is it tight under there! Lol. I did a video explaining all the options, what the plans are, a look at the entire kit. .... ACCIDENTALLY DELETED IT! Grrrrr! Lol.....
I'll hopefully have some of it in tomorrow. .... I will from my best to get a good video explaining and fall of the unit...
Sorry guys, trust me I'm pretty ticked off..... Wait, I'm over it! Hahahaha

Got a chance with only an hour to spare to either get started on some installs or go stretch out my springs and stuff a little bit more... I chose the latter and did a video of the Cobra kit and what I will likely do, and then got down to a run of break and stretched it out a little bit again..... What you think?...( I will post the video in a little bit, it's still uploading )......
