Hey guys, I have texted around 20 people that I have contact with on here... I have a big update and along with that update comes a bunch of available things. Several things that will become available are desired by some people but until the cabbage is in my moms Pay Pal it cannot be reserved.
I was going to keep it a secret but because I don't want things lying around I can no longer do so......
As some of you already know, old Ruby Redrum is going SAS! I already have nearly everything to get started but I am waiting for a member on here to bring down my front axle on a visit to LA.....
I do not want to hold on to any of this and would like to have it all sold before I strip it from my truck. It has to be first come first serve as I can't even tell you how many private messages I've had in the past where people are upset that I wouldn't hold on to something, et cetera. I can't afford to do any favors like that and this stuff will have no problem selling on Craigslist or eBay. As many of you know my mother was given collection letter from the Social Security Administration, stating that 10 years ago they overpaid her nearly 3,000 dollars! These people are freaking unbelievable, but that is all the size the point and the fact of the matter is the right in the middle of another Joyce I decided to make, another moderates crisis has developed.
I will list everything later, but I have to get going for the Mothers Day dinner. But it will basically include my entire front end and several other things. I paid good money for all of it very recently and while I will be giving a decent deal, I am NOT giving it away nor taking a slap in the face loss.
I will update with pictures and everything later. If there's something I have that you have been interested in please send me a private message or text me. I already have around 20 text messages that I need to answer but for now I need to get to dinner.

Say what you want about SAS for my $ IFS still rules... so there
My Paypal is maxed out or I'd gladly send a donation for your mom Mark.
Once you get it together take it to them in a sack of nickles and dimes.

Hey guys!
Thanx much! I always appreciate the rooting on and well wishing in my trials
You guys are great!!!!!
.................................................. .............
I do have a few ppl in line, already, ...... but as you type it here you are next on line!
So far I have 5 requests for the OMEmu shock and stabilizer set..... Some for the possible passing of the drilled and slotted V6 rotors(depends if I go with the IFS hubs or the FJ60 rotors and 4cyl hubs)..... Some requests for the Newly restored OEM CV axles..... 1 request for the Downey Grill Guard with light tabs...... Some requests for the 4crawler - bj spacer/diff and sway drop kit lift......Some requests for the Downey Sankei 555 mega travel upper ball joints with greasable fitting and Toyota factory nearly brand new lower ball joints.............
I forgot to mention that I will also be selling the low miles 12 inch X 125 pound Springs.
The first person to ask me is maybe going to grab everything..... But the couple things needing to be clear right off....
1. The OME leaf pack kit in back is gone/spoken for. Part of the SAS set up to a person on hear that I cannot name just yet without their permission. But they are pretty much as good as gone... However, once in awhile people change their mind, which I highly doubt in this case, but if you're interested and the entire suspension front and rear including the ball joint spacers and ball joints and CV axles and low-profile bump stops and lower control arm with brand new Toyota factory control arm bushings( mine lasted twenty four years and still look pretty good I never made any noise,... And rode a little softer and quieter then the hard ride that I know some people get from the poly bushings... So that's why those are in there.)..... Speak up now or forever hold your peace and I will put you on a list. That's the best I can do as I want to be fair. I know that I text message several people and advance of putting this on my build thread,.... But I honestly had no choice but to do it that way as I was thinking on the cuff and couldn't get any wifi at the time... And cannot deal with slow connections when I'm in a bad area... I mean, I'm trying to work around 12 hours a day and care give and manage my truck and help out my sister with a bunch of stuff lately... And I just realized that I had to do this right away.
2. Whoever is going to get this is going to have to pay for it into my moms Pay Pal account in Advance and around, hopefully, the weekend of the 25th, the stuff will be coming off and will be packed and shipped within 24 hours of coming off. I will bring packing materials over to Richards neighbors house and hopefully can get some help from Richard and his fine lady in packing the stuff up as it comes off... BC I don't want to keep Ruben waiting. I am a fairly apt mechanic and can probably help with some welding or whatever he needs... But, as I said, I do not want him to be left hanging for even 10 minutes, so as soon as I can get them in a box or get that help I mentioned doing so they will be shipped off, much of it flat rate or parcel or first class or whatever is cheapest... Unless people want to pay exorbitant fees to ship overnight or next day. The point is I'm a man of my word and I don't think anyone that I've dealt with in regards to parts would say that I am unreliable or someone that would deliver something of poor quality. Everything, including the cv's and entire suspension is in excellent condition.
3. I also have entire front end off of an 89 v6 4runner.... There is a possibility that some of that is taken as there is one person who has first dibs on at least the upper control arms, which are uncut. But, pretty much everything is there including the steering links and idler arm and IFS crossmember, hubs, automatic locking hubs, ...... Pretty much everything. It is not all in mint condition but I'm fairly certain the CV axles can be restored and so forth... I've been given permission to get this stuff to people who need it at my own discretion... As I said someone has first dibs... But it is not highly likely or anything... So once again please speak up if there's anything from a front end that you are in need of, okay?
I will come back, hopefully tonight, listing every price and so forth... But for now I'm trying to do a million things and getting ready to deliver a giant pack of paperwork to the Social Security Administration, tomorrow, in an effort to try and get my mother's debt at least reduced if possible. I promise I will be back as soon as I can...

Wow after all that work on the front end the SAS now is a huge surprise. Can't wait till you start. I would love to buy Downey Sankei 555 mega travel upper ball joints with greasable fitting for my LT. Let me know how much plus shipping. I have PayPal ready.

Got your text shortly after going to sleep. I know you have top quality parts in your rig. I am good for now. Surprised to see you doing a SAS after all of the front end work you put into it, but the need to want to keep improving is never ending. Will be looking forward to your build. Seems like you are going to be getting it done by months end. That will be quick. I do like the feel and ride of a solid axle.
I am trying to work out a deal for a rolled over 85 runner and if I can get the frame and axles, I would sas mine that way, but only if I can get everything for the frame and axles. I always thought a solid axle would ride rougher and was surprised that they seem to ride better from my experience.

I had a first responder ask for most of it.....
But, as we all know, things fall through, so he will let me know this evening on the status.
So, for now......:
* The Downey mega travel upper ball joints with greaseable zerks are $80 for the pair. The Toyota factory lower ball joints also almost brand new are $60 for the pair. I paid $80 each for the Mega travel ball joints and $70 each minus shipping for the lower factory ones.
* My fully factory TOYOTA restored Toyota CV axles with all new Toyota boots proper two different types of grease, mint condition splines and tripod joint and trunion are $140 for the pair.
* The Old Man Emu shocks and stabilizer which were $325 shipped i will do all 3 for $170 or $130 for the shocks and $55.00 for the stabilizer separately sold.
* The 4crawler BJ spacers are $60, differential drop and sway bar drop together are $25 or the whole kit for $80.... The whole kit shipped to me was around $150 and might be more now.
*Both brand new low profile Energy Suspension bump stops for $10, half price.
* Lower control arms with new OEM C.A. bushings for $140 for the pair.(bushings were pricey for all 4)
* All steering rods 40 $
* Newer HD Idler arm $30
* My drilled and vented black zink 1995 4runner V6 rotors for $60, they were over $100 new( I'm not positive I'm selling those yet but I most likely will as the SAS kit comes with fj60 rotors, and I already have a marlin hd premium upgrade knuckle service kit and Marlinbacking plateeliminator on the 85 SFA I'm getting..... So I have to decide if I wanna go with the IFS hubs or stock 85 hubs.... most probably know what I mean? Maybe some input on that? Not sure cuz I wanna run my newly rebuilt/restored V6 Calipers on the v6 rotors I just put on........or not???)
* I also have nearly new Premium 4 cylinder rotors and nearly new reman'd 4 cylinder calipers that altogether new were over $240.... I will do all for $100, rotors and calipers.(these are available now & like everything are stored in my garage )
* I might be going with 488's, not sure yet as I might run a 4.30 8" with spartan in front and 4.37's i just got wiyh an added spartan in rear(just for now.. This way I have the housings to add 4cyl 4.88's and swap over the lockers).... BUT, if not, I will go wiyh locked factory 8" rear 488's and add a locker to both....IN THIS CASE: I will just sell my front and rear 4.30's with spartan locker in rear..... for W/OUT TUBE-GEAR HOUSING ---$400 for both.
** Either way I will have 2 front mint condition 3rd members, one with 4.10's and the other with 4.30's. (4.30's are standard with 22re autos early on).I will likely sell the set of mint cond 4.10 front and rear thirds for IFS (7.5" FRONT & 8" REAR) for $200 ...... The set up with the 4.30's/ spartan locked in rear maybe 8k on the locker is in my rig now,...... and as Redeth and others can tell you: Ask them how I do on 32's on the freeway or on the trail? .... the 4.30 setup with non ADD tube on iFS front would be $450, $400 as I mention WITHOUT tube, just gears / locked in rear.
* 4 - 31x10.50x15 BFG AT/KO's with under 90+%/4k miles on them and always garaged on SR5 Aluminum 1st gen rims, all balanced and NO rock rash or cracking, .....and 5th SR5 Rim with VERY good tread LeMans AT tire as spare..... $650 for set of 4 BFG on SR5 WHEELS and $50 for 5th/ SR5 wheel with the Lemans for GOOD spare..... These tires are $170 each without any tax, mounting and balancing and they are pretty much brand new, & the SR5 rims at $150 for 4 and BFG tires at $125 each already mounted and balanced is a great upgrade for anyone with steel wheels and stock tires, & they are ready to use without rubbing on a stock Toyota-4wd. $700 for all five 31's mentioned on SR5 rims is a good deal (the rims are $43+tax each at PICK YOUR PART!.... http://www.lkqpickyourpart.com/locat...lf-262/prices/ ...)... I MAY consider separating the wheels and tires... But I would much rather they go all at once/Local pick up unless YOU set up shipping on pallet from dock at my bros biz through UPS or FEDEX.
* I might also be selling my Downey bull bar which would be $100. (Someone asked me about it)
* I would also possibly sell my LC header, which someone does have dibs on if they want it, with pipe to CAT/O2 bung for $240.
* I also have a spare 85 axle tube with knuckle gusset kit and TG axle gusset already talked to it..... This along with a full front birf and inner and outer shorty and longer side axles, and I could possibly throw a 4.10 8" third in it for the right price. (The axle I'm getting and will use has a Marlin HD knuckle rebuild kit already installed, so the exact Marlin kit I have in the garage will be traded to the owner of the axle I am getting [It's 200 $ for that knuckle upgrade kit] )....... $ Price yet to be set.
* I have a nearly new full set of stock height/higher end/Sensitrack Gas 85 4Runner Shocks for someone with a stock 85 4wd who is looking to put newish nice riding shock in there! ....... missing a couple bushings on the rears but I think I have them somewhere...... $60 for all 4. .....
http://m.summitracing.com/parts/mon-.../model/4runner
http://m.summitracing.com/parts/mon-37032st
* I also have all of redeth's independent front suspension including uncut control arms, steering rods, idler arm, automatic locking hubs and the lot that I would be getting rid of cheap! This would be for somebody who wants to do blaze land and wants uncut upper control arms for the long travel conversion.
I'm sure I'm forgetting something she is everything ok together and this other guy take everything. I will update again asap, I'm just really slammed today.
But, as we all know, things fall through, so he will let me know this evening on the status.

Nice Chef!
I just sold my first parts today. Practically gave them away though to a baby faced kid. He's pulling them himself out of my red wreck. I sold him the chain driven tcase and a speedo gear/sensor? Off the tranny. $75, me and my bro bought the whole thing for $150. It was nice to help the young fella though. He just broke his pulling someone out of a hole.
Goes to show there is money to be made parting out wrecks.
Really stoked on this SAS you are doing. You are so good at documenting your projects I'm going to learn shed loads I'm sure!
Will you be starting a separate thread just for your SAS? I'd almost like you to. There is so much to easily get lost in reading through your pages upon pages of great tips and tricks.
Due to you being so thorough I bet I could print your SAS thread as an instruction guide.
Thanks Chef! Good luck, have fun.

Nice Mark. Glad you're getting some money back for your parts. I'm sure all of what you make will eventually pay for the SAS job. Well actually not cuz your moms getting the $$$ lol but u know what I mean.
Also, like I said before, don't worry about giving me any of the $$$ from my front end that I gave you. Consider it a donation to the "Mark's mom needs money foundation" lol you know what I mean there.
-----------------------------------------
Terry I totally agree with you. I think my rig rides way smoother since the sas when compared to my old IFS front end.
Very worth it.
-----------------------------------------
CDN-SMOKEJUMPER. I was thinking the same exact thing right now too lol I hope he makes another thread for the SAS. I'm sure it will be able to be used as an instructional write up for somebody else's sas considering everything he does is very thorough.

Haha, Mark your killing me....you have your front end all fixed up in less than 2 years ish then your wanting to get rid of it....shew you must want the SAS bad. I just can't see changing it out after all your recent upgrades, but hey I'm sure after I see yours done I'll want it too. Keep up the good work man!
#6498
I can understand, I'm just about to have a new front end when I replace the MC, calipers, rotors and wheel bearings. Did a hole lot of other front end work down to getting rid of the ADD system and regearing.
I just bought a pair of FJ62 axles.

Far as the SAS, I MIGHT do another thread, but I've been so busy, I'm not sure it will be an "each step as I go" type. .... and there are soooo many good write ups on here and THE OTHER sites that will not be named, hehe...... But I WILL share tricks and tips I find might be helpful along the way....
I honestly don't know where to begin, but I have been talking about doing it for quite some time, and I finally just figured that there apparently will always be one crisis after another in my life at the rate things are going... ( also not forgetting to mention the fact that I was somewhat torn between doing a blaze land kit and SAS... but, I had already done so much to this front end that in part would have to be undone to add that kit.... So I just figured, what the heck? Haha)..... That, and I don't feel that I'm "impulse buy" excessive/try to always find the best deal I can and then do things right the first time. .. And there may be a point, ....God willing never, but there may be a point where I would have no choice but to abstain from doing this for years... That's just how life works, and I know this from experience.
....So, I decided that now is as good a time as ever. Then I came across basically everything I need to do this, including the proper upgrades and also including a pretty much ready to go axle for under 2k.... Again, something just told me that I'd better get on this before I choose to never do this, ever. AND,... it's not going to cost me THOUSANDS to get done, THANKFULLY TO AND GOOD BLESS RUBEN (and Richard for asking him!)...And, neither can I deal with nor afford months with the truck down doing it alone. .....
If my mom was not in the situation that she is, I might very well take all of the stuff off and put it right onto a $500 clean IFS truck with bad suspension. & a blown motor. ... you know, have the"both worlds" thing going on, haha.....
.....But I've also decided that I want to focus on getting this truck where I intended to finally have it, once and for all, and then move on to a couple other projects. I'm actually looking for a motorcycle(and maybe a lil fishing boat) as well(BOTH CHEAP! Lol. .. not financing things anymore! Hehe)... But the bikes that I would like seem to be fairly tore up, and I'm not really super up to date on where the best place to get parts for them and such are... So I think I would rather just find a fairly clean mid to late 80's XL 600 R , ready to go. I have access to a hitch carrier bike hauler, so I would be able to role that bike right up on the back of my 4runner and take it on trips. I know they are heavy and I do have somewhat of a plan on that as far as leaving my Springs flexy, yet providing heavy load trip capability by adding and removing, when needed or not, a no cut spring. All I would really need is a spring compressor on trips. I thought about air bags and all that stuff, but it's all lacking in "as sick yet frugal and possible", Hahaha. ... And, the bottom line is that soft and flexible do not work in the same sentence as hi load capacity. So I might mod a top and bottom spacer/cap to my zuk or do one in the Center? We'll see......
I'm really excited! Just really super slammed as well! ... or trust me, ...I would already have parts pics up! Haha
Thanx for your patience guys! AND INTEREST, AND WILLINGNESS to keep Momz in your thoughts and prayers!
