Well guys and gals i brought home another Toyota to the household... A 91 land cruiser with 114k miles on it. cruise power windows power locks moon roof leather seats LOADED!! Center diff lock it will seat 8 people and it has all time 4 wheel drive. This will be the wife's truck so it will remain pretty much stock, not much of a play toy. I will post pictures soon. drove 3 n half hours 1 way to get IT AND DROVE IT BACK. drove like a dream..

That piston in the middle of that block does not look healthy whatsoever, and by the way that landcriuser is sweet!! Great condition and super low mileage for a 91. I also like the color. Those things are flagships of there time. My neighbor has a lexus thats basically the same thing. like a lx470 or something?? Anyways great score, and seats 8 people??!! nice. Long live the phat farm!

Thanks it will be in the family for a long time. Truck rides awesome and the 3rd row is 50/50 split that actually fold up and hang by the over head handles. maximum space!!! we got the cruiser because right now we are trying to squeeze 3 kids in the back of a honda civic. it works but not really. All we hear is "Mom he touching me.... " etc etc etc so now they will have lots of space. truck needs a little TLC but it is very much worth the $2200 i paid

PHAT farm for life!! lol

and yes that parts engine is screwed!!! scrap money!!

So today I did a little tinkering on the truck. Nothing major but an improvement none the less. I changed the intake pipe on the 3vze. I was tired of having to remove the entire intake assembly just to check the oil. So I made a new one. Out with the old 3" plumbing pipe, in with the 2 1/2 " electrical schedule 40, 90 degree angle.

While I was under the hood i quickly adjusted the afm from 6 teeth rich to 5 teeth rich. the truck was stumbling slightly when cold, so I was thinking it is slightly flooding when the cold start injector is running as well. a quick test says whoa baby!! and yes I can easily check the oil

I have been spending most of my time lately getting the bugs out of the land cruiser. Turns out I need a new distributor for it. I ordered one from cruiserparts.net. I have already replaced the efi relay, coil, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, plugs, cap n rotor, o2 sensor. It should be good for a long time now. We drove it to chicago for a mini family vacation. It took 6 people in comfort and style.

I also got the parts truck cut up and scrapped out. It turns out that the block had 2 more holes in the side and the rods had snapped. I finally got it chopped up and put the good parts on craigslist for sale. and kept the parts I wanted. I have already made my money back from it plus a little bit, so all of this money coming in is profit. hopefullythis money will turn into future projects for the truck or cruiser. just thought i would update/share some/progress

I really like those old land cruisers.

I have been tryin to score an afm from a 7mge for so long. Every time I find one they are always robbed !!

Does it really make a noticeable difference in power?

Well went and got the new to me bobbed bed today. it does need a little clean up and some patch work welding, but overall Im very happy. it is in much better shape than my bed and it will give me time to fix it how I want before I take old one off. I have a can of bedliner in the garage that is calling out to be used, and I will get that done and get it painted before I put it on. For 40 dollars I couldnt pass it up

Yes it was 40 dollars... my kind of deal. It does need some work, but totally worth it. It does have 10 inches cut out of it already. smiles all around....
