hey toyo I just adjusted to valves to the spec on the hood (warm).. the valves were tight before i adjusted them. Compression tests of 165 on each cylinder suggest.. to me.. that none of the main engine parts are failing.

Hey Blake, ....

something stood out to me..............."Adjusted them per the sticker on the hood".... 8 and 12, of course, .... but, ........ are you running a stock head or engnbldr? You probably know the difference with the engnbldr cams(7 and 9).... but just thought I'd make sure, since I couldn't remember if you'd swapped in a performance head.....and, well, since 8 and 12 would be a bit loose for an engnbldr cam(or almost any aftermarket 261-268 cam)

Other than that, WOW, a freakin scanner? You grabbing that thing?>>>> or is it belonging to your work and you're gonna use it? lol.

PS> How'd the 02 Swap work out?

Hey! 02 swapped great direct oem replacement. The head is stock... so the valve clearance isnt an issue.. the scanner is the dealership's. But I'm gonna use it tonight when I get off

if the valves was tight before for too long. it can cause burnt valves. compression looks good. might wanna do a leak down test as well.

This can be a difficult one, Blake...

I just want to recommend some things to look out for... take it or leave it, meh.......... hahahaha.

1. SR5 seats, in good shape, are often hard to find, especially in the color you want.

2. I don't recommend using the 90-96 4Runner seats if you have wide shoulders and are wide in the ribs as well(the wings are more narrow and travel up to the scapula, which on wider shoulder people like myself is not optimal! lol) Also, 90-96 seats DO NOT just bolt right in without some drilling, ESPECIALLY on the pass. side and do NOT roll forward enough on the passenger side for people to comfortably get in and out.

3. 86-89 SR5 4Runner seats are BY FAR the most comfy of things in the 'stock' realm that will 'bolt right in'. (especially if you're wider than average)

I found a couple sets in Los Angeles, but they want 400$ for the pair! YES, I asked, " ARE THEY HIGHHHHHH???????? " AS WELL when I read those! hahaha. I will give him this much... they are IMMACULATE, and they've been fully reupholstered, Gray.

so with some math.. I'm about $6,800 deep.. including initial purchase. Soo if anyone wants this truck.. the bids start at $15,000... :p I kid.. this thing isn't going anywhere but including all the new parts in came with.. it's probably got more like 8 invested in it.. the PO took a hit selling it to me.. ANYway.. I was just bored.. didn't have a good update.. and made a little autoupdating spread sheet thing... on the mac its called numbers.. lol. some prices are estimates.. based on prices right now since i didnt write them all down.. i figure they are within 10-20 bucks of what i paid.

Pretty cool........... Wow, I think I'm SURELY past that, and I don't even have it painted! lol. Maybe I should have just 'ROCK CRAWLER SAS'D AND 1UZ'D' it from the get go, eh? hahaha. JKKKKKKKK! I love it mildly original.... and I think, to the point at hand... VERY COOL LIST!^^^^ lol.

I have a plan for a 8" subs enclosures(custom) in the back in each rear panel... and I can't WAIT to get a new deck/amp/wire my 'planned' "sound-beast" up! lol.

Sorry, tangent, ...just that your list got me thinking! lol.

BTW, DON'T OUTLAW 2'S ROCK??????? hahahaha. (got me some just yesterday :woot: )

I feel like I've seen subs in the squares before.. where the jack goes.. sweet set up when you do it.. hopefully them facing eachother doesn't do somethin wacky like cancle the sound our. (wave and a trough)
As far as wheels.. I'm pretty sure mine are just old American racing aluminum.. old school things. Are those outlaws? Lol.
Regarding the cables... Actually I had my dad do them :p annnd finally the tires were bought back in 06 by the previous owner.. this was just his weekend warrior so he rebuilt the motor in like.. 02 and put 20,000 in it by 2010 when I showed up.

Ahhh, gotcha I stand corrected on the 'tires'.. my bad, lol.

Far as the Subs, ... no, they would be off set in the very back..... One NEAR the plastic door and one near the roll bar. I would just do a sub box, but there is just simply no room for it when I go camping... and that's usually often(used to be, will be again)... so things need to be 'stashed', ya know? 8's don't need much of a box... so shouldn't be too hard. I thought about building it in the triangle of the roll bar, top of the wheel well... but I use that space too when camping. MIGHT work better though... have to figure it out. I can build those boxes pretty well, have plenty of that carpet, etc., ...so I'll figure it out.
