Front oil seal installed....used multi-purpose grease as indicated.

the little o-ring I pointed out earlier, IS the one. so that's good too.

but...stopping right here. kinda wanted to to the rear main / oil pump / baffle plate and oil pan at the same time.

have to get the motor on the hoist....probably not gonna happen tonight. Oh well, we waited this long...just hate to lose momentum.

Awesome, Homie! Keep at it! Can't wait to see that thing coming together, ...but it's weird,...it's like I almost want it to take it's time as I love watching it come together, piece by piece! ....is that mean? lol.

Best wishes, Jerry, Joe and FAM! TRAVELING MERCIES, AS WELL!

"WOOT, WOOT, full speed ahead...all aboard the BLACK MAGIC BUILD!" haha. Keep your toes and fingers inside the ride, ....Joe is GET'N AIR! hahaha. Sorry dad, ...didn't mean to give you freaky visions! haha. Have a safe trip, and ask Joe, ...."Hey, they wanna know if it's driving you crazy already that you can't work on the truck for 2 weeks?????" hahahha.

unfortunately things have been held up as well because Joe has a big project for school due...NOW!....he has a "power-point" presentation for an on-line Latin course he is taking. being that latin is the root of most everything medical, it was a recommended course for him and his (hopefully) future endeavor as a doctor. so working on the motor came to a halt about as quickly as it stared again.

Oh that's ok, whatever is best for Joe, man! That's awesome, btw! I think in his grade, I was chasing LATIN......GIRLS, that's about it! hahaha. Nah, I LOVED doing 'projects' and impressing my peers, etc. It was really rewarding, and, well, it can really help open the doors for "hmmm, I think THIS path would suit this young man REALLY well!" DOCTOR, EH? DANGGGGGGGG, ..................... "Dr. Joe, emergency, stat! We have a man who climbed in his 88 4Runner engine bay, ....and HE CAN'T GET OUT! We brought him in, still encapsulated in the front clip!.....what's that, Dr. Joe? Get the mini jaws of life from your 3.weezee? What's that mean?" hehehe.

Vita sine litteris mors est

Old Latin scholars never die, they just slowly decline.

Hey Joe, Im sure you are ready to put a million miles on your Runner in one day when you get it running. Keep your school first and in a few years when you get a job doing something you enjoy doing, its not work.

Im out here counting down the days you guys get to start putting it back togther. Warmer weather is coming also, maybe it will be nice when you get to start on this again.
