You have synthetic line too? I'm actually very impressed with the initial quality of it, seems to be a good winch! And it was a sinch to hook up! Now just for that damn hand throttle lol

Thanks for the compliment, I'm makin one that shouldn't be too bad, it'll be hooked up to the gas pedal linkage not the actual throttle cable.

It's worth the extra money to get the synthetic rope imo...it only came out to just over 5 bills with the synthetic rope, and I got a free cover

My gf's dad welded the half piece of sch 40 and the finishing plates on the sides, but I welded on the mounting pieces, It was my first time welding with a stick welder, and I like it alot better than a mig welder actually...anyways, it's not bad for FREE!!

Welded in some bolts on the inside of the bottom to mount a skid plate on, I got a huge piece of AR 1/4 plate that I'm going to make it out of, it's gunna be a pain to cut and drill though...

Thanks man, I've been spending alot of time working on it! The stiffening job wasn't too hard, it was just a pain drilling the holes by hand, I think the metal may have been AR plate so it didn't like to be drilled in to.

Projects coming up withing the week:

Front skid plate from rear brace up to stock mounting location

Jerry can bed mount

Hand throttle

D-day is Friday, headin out early to run the con for the first time

Thanks guys!

Well, I got my list above checked off just in time before I headed out to the Rubicon so I didn't get time to update this thread so here it is....

Skid plate (haven't painted it yet)

Yes there are bolts that go into the front crossmember, they just worked there way out on the trail cause the bolts were too short

Pretty welds

Hand throttle

I welded a jam nut onto a piece of eighth inch and drilled it out for the cable housing to squeeze in there..

Hooked up the cable to the gas pedal linkage

And I'll get a picture of my gas can mount later, I forgot to take a pic of it...and I throw some rubicon pictures up later when I get my gf's memory stick from her camera

Excellent work here Silver! I hope you don't mind but I will be taking some tips and biting your style, sort of speak. I am just getting going on the mods to my rig and more importantly, just getting posting! How are those 35's treating the stock IFS? Oh, and let's see what kind of body damage you took at the Rubicon!!! I hope it didn't hurt too bad!

Thanks man, take all the ideas you want, that's why I'm puttin all of them up and the only damage I got was I broke the lens and a little dent that popped right out on my passenger side marker light...my truck's armor covered everything else

Oh, and the tires are 33x10.50's and the IFS has held up great! Haven't broken anything...yet

Here's the gas can mount I Made, it's really easy to make, it's just eighth inch with angle iron welded on in the right width...my welder didn't like the thickness of the angle so it's not the best weld, but it holds and doesn't need to be pretty lol

And a little preview before I get all the pictures from this wkend:
