Great!! All the pieces are falling into place. Hey, just out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the axle? A couple have popped up and im thinking of snatching one, who knows, i might need it you know.

haha well probably be done around the same time. i thought loong and hard if i wanted long travel or SAS. it was a tough decision, but SAS is better for me, more rocks round here. I am definitely watching yours though, to see what mine would have looked like! it will be sweet!

Build threads change a lot I've noticed....

And it seems you'll be winning this round. My shocks arrived finally, but turns out the fab shop ordered the wrong kind, so its going to be another 2-3 weeks of waiting again, lol.

You may win the battle but the complete build war rages on! lol

Not sure if anyone answered this yet. Pretty sure you have to tap the studs out from the other side. I remember when I looked it up in the haynes manual before changing my rotors out, and seeing a write up on tapping the studs out with a centre punch. When I pulled my axle apart both sides had the 8 bolts and no studs, which confused me. I'm not sure why yours has one of each style.

I've looked in on this build from time to time, but never had anything to add. Really nice work here and love the amount of pics and detail. Keep it up Hillbillyoter!

yep, you are correct. the reason i have two different ones is because one is a pre 81 hub, and the other is 81-85. it makes no difference anyway, because i bought skys kit for IFS hubs and FJ 60 rotors.

Thank you sir! i always told myself if i ever had a build thread, i would put lots of pictures in it, because i know people love pictures

I'm thinkin we need to plan a socal wheelin trip sometime soon after the completion of our rigs. You know, fully test out the new suspensions. That and I'd really like to have one good long 4wheeling venture before I go into the military. If your down, lets get some plans going and see who else would be interested!
