Gotta love the look of fresh mud on a 4runner or Truck! When i get another truck or 4runner imma run that 4in rough country lift set up I personally dont like what's on the FJ40 right now. Im runnin BDS springs and rancho shocks in the '40 they ride fairly good. Have already replaced the springs once in 5 years though

yup. same time as the mini-rebuild. and i just got done upgrading the wiring, so all 140 amps can flow smoothly. i'll need to make a headlight harness, but the gm alternator works great. with an adapter, it's plug n' play. toyota alternators are technically "one-wire" as well, so the main connection is the same. also, the bottom bracket is the same size, and the top adjustment bracket almost fits. it will need to be changed out or modified to fit. if you have a welder and grinder, i suggest fabbing up your own. i bought something like the trail gear bracket for easy installation, as i don't have welding stuff

Same here. Money is the biggest issue, I'm even considering sitting down with my fabricator buddy and designing our own custom long travel ifs suspension O.o
