That's great to hear, but that's a long trip from azerbaijan up here
I got a similar pm from sctoy, who lives less than two hours away....you guys are great.
Now that I've taken a class, I can't wait to get a welder and start fusing some steel
.....back to Nates build!

Nate: Not trying to hi-jack
HAVE WELDER, WILL TRAVEL...Welding done for pizza and cold beverage's.
Philbert: I'm orginally from So. Cal. but have only known a group guy's this nice here in Arizona. Don't know if it's the So.Cal. attitude but the people (in general) are alot more helpful here. I've been welding for only a short period of time but I feel like I have to master anything I try. I do get paid (professionaly) to weld and help fabricate off-road goodies, manily for toyota's. As a proffesion, I love it. And my boss (owner of company) has been instrumental in my learning how to MIG. TIG is the next level for me this next semester at school. Fortunate that my boss has already agreed to by a TIG machine once I get into that portion of it. Skid plates and other aluminum armor will find their way into our product line. Good company and great boss...and as you can see, I have an ability to coax the most out my equipment.
Good guy's like Nate, will (and have) benefited from their kindness and generousity.
Ok...back to Dicey's progress..

Thanks Philbert! I was actually pulling using an upside down cursive e type loop. I need to work on my angle to the work and travel speed still but I think I'm getting there. I'm using a Hobart Handler 210 (made by Miller) and I love it!

Who?
I thought that weld was the sideways "J" for the fill. Pulling the weld to see how it's laying in and to keep pattern consistent. In short, Nate's really doing a great job with his welds with only small corrective inputs.

Thanks McTibbs.
3linked84- Progress slowed to a crawl when school started 2 weeks ago. I've been working a little here and there trying to get the front end back together. Got some cleaning and painting done, mounted the high pinion 3rd, and started getting the knuckles put back together with new bearings and seals.
Here's how it's sitting now, excuse the mess:

This is the current shackle angle with full weight on the axle.

And for anyone that doesn't understand the appeal of the high pinion, check out the clearance.

Hey Nate, I keep looking at the pics of the front hanger and can't help but feel like it might be better off with a gusset on both sides. I know we talked about it and decided against it, but I can make some up in a jiffy...if you want. They'd be free, just need to swing by and get the right angle and measurements. I think 1/8 or 3/16 oughta do just fine. Let me know, and I'll bring my finder, pen and paper.
