ive heard of using 1 poly mount and 1 stock mount. kinda best of both worlds type deal.

why bother with the winch/locker? i've used my '87 4r as a daily driver since i bought it in 2013. it is capable of light wheeling without either a winch or locker. if you daily drive it, the winch especially will impact fuel economy. in 70k miles that i've driven mine (5-spd, 22re) i've averaged 20.5 mpg, including a coast to coast and back trip last year.
