Welded in the supports for the lower part of the window need to reinforce it with some x pattern cross bars between the supports and weld in the sheet metal and its sealed a little bit and I can lock it again... pictures tomorrow when I have more done.

Hehe well I feel a lot less... attached perhaps the word is... because I bought the truck for $400 so the investment isnt that big and if I mess it up Its not like im losing a whole bunch of money
Plus its a trail rig so it doesn't need to be THAT pretty, although I am trying to make it that way. More pictures in a sec when they are done loading.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long... kind of bummed out about this build because I found out when its done I will be selling it, and lifting my 2001 4runner instead... that means a whole different forum section
so anyways I will keep posting pictures of progress and answer any questions anyone might have.

MAN, thats a mistake selling it!
Your gonna regret it no matter how sick of a trail rig your next ride is.
I love what your doing with it. I have shops around here that couldnt even do what you have done in high school shop class.
Props to ya:
Put that thing on a trailer, bring it to VA, and i will take it off your hands!

im selling it because its gotta be a dd, and it doesn't have airbags... good for the trails... bad for insurance purposes... so it must be sold and the way i have it setup i know ill find a 4x4 enthusiast to buy it, hey it comes with a straight axle if anyone wants it.
1.7k takes all. Just want what im putting into it time wise and money wise. Its a steal if you ask me, downey headers and full exhaust been run a couple times to make sure it works and thats it since the rebuild. And yes i already regret it. but my 2001 will be sickk
so w/e I did an intake mod on my 2001 today and its soooo loud haha
anyways time for bed. goodnight all.

At this point I am looking for 1000 cash for the axle and truck. as is. This would be a great deal considering its got brand new headers that cost over 495$, the axle is 250$, and the actual truck is at least 1000$. If anyone is interested or has any offers please let me know.

I will pay the shipping to Maryland if you want it gone that bad and finish it up giving you plenty of credit for what you have done. It is what I have been wanting to do to mine but my Super Charged 3.4 swap is getting in the way of that now. I do love the look and idea still thinking about useing the rear section of the taco cab for doing mine like that.

selling...
400$ takes it, its what i owe to my teacher. the headers alone being that they were never used are worth 400. they are full downey ceramic headers just bolted on never ran. Buyer pays shipping if it applies.

hit me up!
I live in Glendale (a good 300 miles out) but I'd be willing to consider picking up your runner if you still have it. Let me know. I should be contactable through the forum, but if im not, just post up here again - I have it tooootally bookmarked. I have a 94 and like many of the people on this site, feel that you are making a mistake on the sale of the runner
. I think that you should go to the local junkyard and pick up a bed off of a similar year pickup for rails, tailgate, and the back of the bed would make a nice filler piece for under that rear window. Probably labeled Toyota and all. You might even be able to fit one of those pickup bed roll/light bars in the back when its all done. You can pick one up off of craigslist or a junk yard for like $50. If you really want to finish up that swap, put a fuel cell in the bed! I say at least finish your welding, finish the axle swap, and sell it as a roller if anything, I guarantee you'll get your money. Build that new runner you have as a tow vehicle and daily driver. You're already 3/4 of the way there, you can have the best of both worlds unlike many of us yota owners. You wont even have to register and insure that beast of a '90 you're working on if its a true trailer queen. All the insurance you would need is a good rollcage! As far as gas goes in determining the need of having 2 4runners, how many 4runners can you drive at once? You have to drive your car to use the gas... Please update all of us on the status of your runner, and let me know if its sold!

still for sale as well as the axle. if you want the axle and the 4runner ill sell both for 600. I just can't do it anymore, I have an 07 tundra to tow my 01 4runner so why would i go back? : / this was a very cool project where i learned a lot, i need to post new pictures up here because the back is all welded up, the bed is closed, a little bit more welding and a lot of grinding and its done. Let me know if your interested, pm me for my phone number and we can talk about moving it.
