I'm thinking of replacing the wire harness wile I've got everything taken apart. Does anyone know where I can get a new one or if I should just try and splice new clips on in place of the old ones. Also does anyone have an opinion on replacing the distributer when doing the rebuild.

 

I'm pretty sure TOYOTA still sells a whole wiring harness.(I think.)

Toyota distributors seldom give problems. I never recommend replacement unless its just preference.

You can probably get a new distributor from TOYOTA as well.

But there are lots of other good sources for distributors.

Have an 81 an 86 an 88 and all have original distributors and wiring harnesses.
