Thanks for the info, this is starting to make more sense. Marlin's site looks confusing. I see that he has 3.4 flywheels which I believe are a larger diameter over the 3.0 flywheel, however his clutch disc year range only goes upto 95. He does over a 2,100 lb clutch for the 3.0 so I guess that the 3.0 is the way to go since we can get the clutch kit for it. I just figured a little more flywheel surface would be better if possible.

Trail Gear sells a puck style clutch for the 3.4 V6. Not a high clamp load pressure plate but a ceramic disk. That was part of my plan "B" but i used the 3.0 flywheel.

Lots of folks doing this swap are using the larger flywheel and clutch from the 3.4.

I think im going with the 3.0 flywheel and clutch to start, since I have that, then upgrade to the larger 3.4 setup (unless I find one before). This will keep costs down a bit.

so it looks like the bolt holes for the flywheel really arent that far off .. i was thinking you had to completely redrill new holes , but i guess not .. just enlarge .

for the wiring you will need to cut off some connectors from the 3.0 engine harness to splice to the lexus harness then just plug back in to the plugs left on the body harness when you removed the 3.0 engine harness.
i havent really worked on my wiring that much just a couple hours here and there . have had a couple home improvement side jobs for my neighbors lately.

The only difference in the 3.0 an 3.4 clutch is 3/4 of an inch so I'm not to worried. An 4.0 as for a puck I'm not so big on those. Yeah the r150 is a hoss of a tranny but I think it would put to much stress on the tranny as those clutches are either on or off. An I'm sure dunkin can attest to this. There are so many people who put um in the subaru wrx's an spin off 1st or 2nd. It moves week link back from the clutch to the tranny.

well the guys at 4wheel parts didnt order my lift last week. so it wasnt here today when i went all the way up north to get it. but in the end i saved a little money as i ordered a 3 inch rather then the 2 inch coz the 3 inch was about 30 bucks cheaper. put thats ordered my t-case relocation plate is in the mail and i also ordered some sound proofing stuff for my hatch. so if all goes to plan i will have the engine sitting in the truck with in the next 3 weeks fingers crossed.

ok here is a little bit of an up date. i got my lift in the mail. i also got my t-case relocate plate. and my sound proofer for my hatch. the last picture has nothing to do with toyotas but i like when things breaks and showing it to people. and the sound proofer is just for people to see to i know some guys were asking abount it on rbx's thread. it was 165 shipped for 33 square feet. and the last pic was all wheel drive tranny tell the clutch drum broke off.

Where did you get this? That is exactly what I need. I put the R150F in, and used the A/T crossmember. It's off by 1/2 inch.

I bought it just to sit on it until I started my swap. The plate is very thick and in very nice condition.

I think it had a lot to do with lack of maintenance. I drove my 3.0 like a stripped raped ape. All of my 3.0s as a matter of fact. And never killed um. But yeah before I pulled it I only saw the acorn sized hole. But when I got it out I saw the rest. I bet it made one hell of a noise when it let go.

As messy as it is, there is always something satisfying about grenading a motor.

Yeah he said it did. The worst one I have ever heard of was a legacy. It came out the top of the block went through the fuel rail, water pipe, engine harness and intake before hitting the hood.
