It's the ignitors that have to be grounded not the coils.

Yeah the way I started it wasn't the best way but I just had to hear it to get more motivation. I'm just waiting to hear from RMA to see if he has a sc oil filter housing cog I had to undo the motor mounts and shove the engine over to get the filter on. If the engine was sitting higher I don't think I would have any problems.

well that cross member is a no go. turns out it is only for the gear drive 4 cylinder t-cases. and i dont want to spend another 300 for an adapter and then get a t-case. so ill make something up i guess. it shouldnt be that hard.

ok so here is some more of my wiring. when it is all said and done i will post up on here where all the wires went and whad i did to get rid of the check engine light. but i added the oil pressure switch and the a/c compressor harness to the positive cable and ran it through connector II1 also i ran the reverse lights and 4WD switch through the same connector as well.

i wired the alternator to the other side. wich here is a reason why it is a good to hold on to stuff. i havent had to buy any wire. i just keep cutting it out of the harnesses i have.

i didnt use the lexus harness for the alternator. u used the toyota plug. the lexus one was to oil soaked.
here is my diff all put back together.

also found where im putting my ecm. just gotta extent all the ecm plug wires.

got my rear driveshaft made and put in.

had a double carden put on it and the shaft tube is much stronger then factory so my driveshaft is pretty much bomb proof.
i still had to use the ls oil filter housing even though i bought one for an sc from RMA. i put it in and the power steering lines. so untell i put the a/c in and redo the the power steering lines and do a cooler for it as well. o and if anyone has had this problem can you let me know. my power steering dont work so well. so ill most likeley rebuild it to start.

put a battery tray in on the drivers side from a taco.

and here is what i did with the throttle cable. i just used the lexus cable. all i had to do is make the hole in the fire wall a little bigger.

the top one is the lexus cable and the bottom one is the toyota for the most part they are the same just a bit bigger.

the seal on the cables are the same just they are on different sides. as the toyota one seals to the outside and the lexus seals to the inside of the fire wall.

then cut the tangs off the retainer plate. and make the hole bigger.

and i got the tunnle moved pretty plain and simple. cut it and added another piece of tunnle with rivits and some high tack to seal it.

hopefully there is more to come soon. i keep missing my dead lines i have been setting. cant take it to vegas on the 4th. cant take it to the hill climb this sunday. but hopefully i will have it done to take it to Washington the last week end of july. fingers crtossed. o and im picking my radiator up tomarrow i hope i dropped it off today.

Right on! Have fun out there on Whidbey Island. If you get time, you should go check out Fort Casey too. It's just a few miles from Oak Harbor.

Let me know when you do make it out, as I live in Kirkland.

Yeah I don't know where your engine is sitting in your rails. But I had to loosen the engine mounts and shove the engine over to put an oil filter on. So now the engine ia riding slightly to the passengers side. I know some trucks come like that from the factory to stops driveline vibration. But i don't know bout the yotas.

well here is another update for you all. i added wire to all the ecm connectors so i could put it up in the dash. i also extended all the shielding for all the signal wires.

yup thats 70 wires. so thats 140 solders and heat shrinks. i dont think i ever want to solder anything again.
i put some exhaust in. its only a temp tell i can get the money to put 3 inch stainless with a nice borla muffler. so i just hooked it to the factory 3.0 exhaust.

i cut the egr pipe down and welded the flange to the tundra header.

then i made me a cross member with parts of the stock one and 1x2 box steel. and put 1/8 inch plate to make it stronger and make it look clean. although the way it turned out it looks like it should be in the new transformer movie.
it started like this.

and now looks like this. well its painted now,

im still waiting on my clutch from marlin. it seems when ever i order from them something always happens and im sitting waiting.
so as soon as i get the clutch i can button up everything on the inside. o i got my radiator to i just had my stock one changed i didnt get a picture but it was only 140 to have the inlet and outlets swapped and cap the old ones. ill get the picture up as soon as i can. and still no power steering. i havent really looked into it yet but i used the toyota banjo bolt at the pump and i think it may be to long.

I feel yor pain with stuff being ordered. I just did a simple trans swap and took a week longer that I thought. Most of the stuff is simple little things that need to be done before shakedown. Tonight I drive her 150mi 2.5hrs, and she is leaking oil and gear lube, not bad but wet no less...

Yeah RB the last thing I ordered www a speedo cable extension. Took 3 weeks to get it. Tried to order the clutch like a month ago I think. The site wouldn't let me order it. And now they were out of stock on the 2100 pounders so I had to get the 1200 and in waiting for FedEx who cant seem to find my shop yet one of their trucks delivers to us every day at 10 but what do I know I'm just lowly tech.
Congrats on the 5speed swap bet it feels good to be rid on that flippin boat anchor. I had a 3.0 auto an a 22re auto and used the a/c. Was great borrowed it to my friend and he didn't give him self enough room an pulled out in front of a 18 wheeler. He said it was not as funny as I thought it was.

An yeah Z was very time consuming. Not much fun. Hoping not to have to solder anything for a while. But my service writer wants to do a 1UZ in a supra an sell his 60 series. So I'm sure ill be giving him a hand.
