Going to go ahead and start the build thread for my 91 4runner because I keep going back and forth between working on it and the 92 4runner. Just really trying to keep track on what has been completed and what is still let. Progress will be slow. The end plan will be to 3.4 swap and SAS the 91 and 3.4 swap and long travel the 92. The 3.4 swap for the 92 is underway and the 3.0 in the 91 is currently still alive so for now 91 progress is all maintenance and 92 build up.
3.4 swap
snorkel
body lift
SAS

wheels/tires 35s or 37s?

Reason: update
Yeah it looked great in that picture...Stepdaughter decided to introduce front right fender onto a guard rail. Damage wasent to bad and I was able to remove fender and beat it back into shape and there is no rust on it so im lucky there. There was a good bit of rust in the fuel system when I got it but I got that handled. All in all not in bad shape.
Have any idea how to bypass the clutch safety switch in an automatic body? From the looks of it, they all use the same wiring harness I just don't know what colors translate over between the '91 and '95.
Have the common powersteering pump leak. Just took the pump off of the 92 3.0 I pulled out of the other 4runner to rebuild it so I can just R/R quickly. Picked up a new cv at advance auto because the drivers side is busted. Nothing but generally maintenance until the 92 3.4 swap is done.
Got the powersteering pump rebuilt and installed and new cv axle on passenger side put in last week. I picked up a set of manual hubs on here about a month ago. I finally got around to rebuilding them and got them installed today.
FYI rattlecan paint does not stand up to brake cleaner like factory paint does. I was trying to clean off the grease from the install and next thing I know the freshly painted hubs are back to bare metal. Oh well wife wanted them bare to begin with...should have known better.
Just a warning to any that read this....change all those old cracked fuel lines. I went to look at the a/c system thursday and had it at idle and I started to smell gas while under the hood. Starting looking around and saw gas spraying on the vsv's on the passenger side finder. I was lucky and it had only been running for about 2 minutes so it wasn't hot enough to ignite the gas.
