1987 SAS 4Runner

So after two stock toyotas, I finally ended up with this. A 1987 4Runner: SAS'd, 6" lift, 35's, and 5.29 gears. I know I cheated and bought this but it's far from finished. Will post pic's of the current progress in the next week or so. Thanks for looking!

Yeah I figured I wasn't alone on buying something built but the suspension components and axel swap is all new. So I don't have to worry about it being previously thrashed. But there is still a lot to be done. Yeah I saw your thread, looks good man !

Nice looking 4runner! Like others have already said, you saved alot of time and work already having the sas out of the way, looks like you got a nice one to start with, looking forward to seeing more of your build!

Talking

It's been awhile since I've updated but long story short I had some troubles with title for the runner and she had to sit for about a month or so. Everything is good to go now ! haha. Winter this year has been a cold one, so I haven't gotten to do as much as I'd like but I have made some progress. Recently just replaced the weather stripping for the sunroof (never attempt this in 15 degree weather haha) thank you Discount Toyota Parts for giving me a very reasonable deal on the stripping, you saved my wallet big time! Also did a tune up: oil change, new plugs, new cap and rotor, and fuel filter. Next week ill change the trans and diff fluid. But it should be warming up in the next month or so. Hopefully by than I can think about painting it, rebuilding the engine, and line-x'ing the back

Surely needed to be changed!

Whoever put the lift in didn't put any washers in on the perch's. So loosened them up and stuck some temp's on for now.

I'll probably need to do something about this come spring time. Anybody had any luck with them?

So I got a couple more things checked off my to do list for the runner. Swapped out the leaky radiator with a FREE spare I got from a buddy and tore the seats and carpet out and gave them a major scrub down haha I need to get my hands on some stock seats or a replacement seat cover but its kinda looking like the foam in the drivers side seat is long gone. So will give it some time and see how it does.

The free radiator I got from a friend.

I got it out pretty easy. The engine bay is looking like its seen better days, I have a couple gallons of super clean ill use to hopefully clean it up a bit.

Carpet looked pretty bad but with some effort and a carpet shampooer, I got it looking pretty good again.

Oh and got a nice fresh air filter haha this one was looking a little dirty.

Hopefully the paint comes off easy. I'm going to rub some lacker thinner on em' to get them back to looking normal.

Good news! Spring will have an early arrival this year so looks like ill be making way on the runner sooner than I had hopped. But in the mean ill be chipping away at things little by little. Thank you ChefYota4x4 for my back window switch ! Even though I cant seem to get power to the switch, I did once when I was messing with it but I'm going to clean out everything good and see where that gets me. Unfortunately I recently found out that one of my wheels has a crack in it. So unless I can find another centerline to match (without paying $200+ a pop for one) I might be looking for another set to replace these ones. I've been looking at some pro comp wheels but just can't seem to choose a rim worthy enough for the runner. I've been coming back to these http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/Ro...0021&t_pl=3361 What do you guy's think?

Got the tire off.
